### Chapter 1: Arrival in Seoul
Yn stood at the bustling Incheon International Airport, her suitcase in hand, heart thumping with a mix of excitement and anxiety. The sea of unfamiliar faces, the strange yet enticing scent of street food wafting through the air, and the constant chatter in a language she barely understood all served to remind her that she was far from home. This was South Korea, a land of rich history, and she was here on a mission that could make or break her career as a journalist.
"Yn!" A familiar voice called out from the crowd.
Yn turned and saw Jimin, her online friend, waving enthusiastically. They had met through Instagram three years ago, bonding over their mutual love for travel and culture. Now, Jimin was about to become her guide and confidant in this new land.
"Jimin!" Yn called back, smiling as she made her way towards him.
Jimin greeted her with a warm hug. "Welcome to Korea! How was your flight?"
"Long, but I'm glad to finally be here," Yn replied, her smile wide. "Thank you so much for agreeing to help me with my book. I couldn’t have done this without you."
"Of course! Anything for a friend," Jimin said, taking her suitcase and leading her towards the exit. "So, how much do you know about this royal family?"
"Not much," Yn admitted. "Just that they’re incredibly secretive and there are all these rumors about them. Some say they have hidden treasures, others say they have some kind of ancient curse. It’s all very mysterious."
Jimin nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, the family is quite elusive. But don’t worry, I have some contacts that might help us get closer to them."
As they drove through the vibrant streets of Seoul, Yn couldn’t help but marvel at the blend of traditional and modern architecture. High-rise buildings stood alongside ancient temples, creating a unique skyline.
"Do you have a plan for how you’re going to approach this?" Jimin asked as they stopped at a red light.
"I was hoping to start with some historical research," Yn said. "Maybe visit some museums and archives. Then, if possible, try to get an interview with someone from the royal family or at least someone who knows them well."
Jimin nodded. "That sounds like a good start. I can take you to the National Museum tomorrow. And I have a friend who works at the Royal Heritage Foundation. He might be able to get us some inside information."
"That would be amazing," Yn said, feeling a surge of excitement. "I can’t thank you enough, Jimin."
"Don’t mention it," Jimin replied with a grin. "Now, let’s get you settled. I’ve arranged for you to stay at a guesthouse nearby. It’s cozy and close to all the places you’ll need to visit."
As they arrived at the guesthouse, Yn felt a wave of gratitude. The small, traditional Korean house was charming, with its wooden beams and paper windows. Inside, it was warm and welcoming, with a comfortable bed and a small desk where she could work.
"This is perfect," Yn said, looking around. "Thank you, Jimin."
"You're welcome," Jimin said. "Get some rest tonight. We have a lot to do tomorrow."
Yn spent the evening unpacking and preparing for the days ahead. She knew the task before her was daunting, but with Jimin’s support and her determination, she felt ready to uncover the secrets of the royal family.

The next morning, Yn and Jimin set out early for the National Museum of Korea. The museum was a grand structure, filled with artifacts and exhibits that showcased the rich history of the country.
"This place is incredible," Yn said as they walked through the exhibits. "There’s so much to learn."
"Indeed," Jimin agreed. "And I think you’ll find some useful information here. Look, this section is dedicated to the Joseon Dynasty, which the royal family is descended from."
As Yn began taking notes and photographing the exhibits, Jimin stepped aside to make a phone call. After a few minutes, he returned with a satisfied look on his face.
"I just spoke to my friend at the Royal Heritage Foundation," he said. "He’s willing to meet us tomorrow and share some insights. He might even be able to arrange a meeting with someone from the royal family."
Yn’s eyes widened. "Really? That’s incredible! Thank you, Jimin."
Jimin smiled. "I told you, I’m here to help. Now, let’s make the most of today and gather as much information as we can."
As the day went on, Yn felt a growing sense of purpose. She was determined to uncover the truth behind the royal family’s secrets, and with Jimin by her side, she knew she had a real chance of succeeding. The adventure was just beginning, and Yn couldn’t wait to see where it would lead.
