### Chapter 4: The Proposition
Yn crossed her arms and fixed Jin with a stern look. "I do need an explanation, Jin. But no more lies."
Jin scoffed lightly as he stepped inside, looking around. He sat on the sofa, commenting, "This house is small and comfy. Your friend must have found it for you, right?"
Yn’s expression darkened. "That's none of your business."
Jin raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing on his lips. "Is he your boyfriend?"
That was the last straw. Yn's anger flared. "I don’t care who the hell you are! You have no right to question my relationships."
Jin was taken aback. No one had ever spoken to him like that. He quickly shifted to a serious tone. "I have something to ask you."
"What?" Yn snapped, still seething.
"Will you marry me?" Jin asked, his tone unwavering.
Yn stared at him, dumbstruck. "What did you just say?"
Jin repeated calmly, "This might seem too fast and unbelievable, but will you marry me?"
"Are you pranking me? Is this some kind of royal prank show? Where’s the camera?" Yn looked around, incredulous.
Jin laughed at her reaction. "No, I'm serious."
"Why?" Yn demanded, still reeling.
Jin leaned forward. "You want to write the book, right? Be my fake fiancée and you’ll get access to all the secrets you want. Otherwise, you won’t get anything."
Yn’s frustration grew. "I’m not a damsel in distress who needs your help."
Jin’s expression hardened. He placed his card on the table. "Call me when you realize you’re being foolish."
As he turned to leave, Yn grabbed his hand. She took a pen from the table and scribbled her number on his hand. Jin looked shocked.
"Call me when you're really ready to tell the truth," Yn said firmly.
Jin left, and Yn couldn't sleep that night. She called Jimin the next morning and recounted the entire bizarre story.
Jimin was equally shocked. "There has to be something behind this. Wait till he calls."
"I’m not taking help from that liar," Yn replied resolutely.
Determined to find answers on her own, Yn met with several royal family connections over the next few days but hit dead end after dead end. Frustration mounted as her publisher called, demanding progress.
"Yn, I need at least three chapters in three days," her publisher's voice was stern and impatient.
"But I haven’t gotten anything substantial yet," Yn admitted, feeling the pressure.
"That’s unacceptable. Get it done," the publisher snapped before hanging up.
Devastated, Yn sat in her apartment, staring at her notes and feeling utterly stuck. Her phone started ringing, and she glanced at the screen, her heart skipping a beat when she saw Jin’s number.
Taking a deep breath, she answered, "Hello?"
"Are you ready to talk?" Jin's voice was serious, devoid of the teasing tone she had come to expect.
"Are you ready to tell the truth?" Yn shot back.
"Yes. Meet me at the coffee shop near your place in an hour," Jin replied.
Yn agreed and hung up, feeling a mixture of anticipation and dread. She knew this meeting could change everything.
