### Chapter 6: An Unexpected Visit
Yn's phone rang, and she saw Jin's name on the screen. She answered, "Hello?"
"Yn, dress accordingly for tomorrow morning. We're visiting the palace," Jin informed her.
"Understood," Yn replied, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement.
Jimin came over to help her choose an outfit. "You need to look the part," he said, rummaging through her clothes.
"Thanks, Jimin. I have no idea what 'dressing accordingly' means here," Yn admitted.
After an hour of sorting through outfits, Jimin finally settled on a modern take on hanbok, a traditional Korean dress. Yn tried it on and admired herself in the mirror.
"You look perfect," Jimin said, smiling.
The next morning, Jin arrived to pick her up. He looked dashing in a tailored suit and smiled as he saw Yn. "You look stunning," he said, clearly impressed.
"Thank you," Yn replied, feeling a blush creep up her cheeks.
They arrived at the palace, its grandeur overwhelming Yn. Jin explained, "My grandparents are in a meeting, so we have some time. Let me show you around."
As they walked through the lush gardens, they stopped at a beautiful koi pond. Yn leaned over to get a closer look at the fish when she suddenly lost her balance. Jin quickly caught her, his arms wrapping around her waist. They were close, too close.
"Careful," Jin whispered, his breath warm against her ear.
"Thank you," Yn replied, her heart racing. Their eyes met, and for a moment, the world around them seemed to fade away.
Jin gently set her back on her feet, and they continued their tour, the moment lingering between them. They arrived at a secluded gazebo, where Jin shared stories about the palace's history and his childhood memories. The intimacy of the setting and the candidness of their conversation created a spark of something more.
Finally, Jin's phone buzzed. "My grandparents are ready to meet us," he said, leading Yn to a grand room where his grandparents awaited them.
His grandparents, regal and imposing, frowned as they entered. "Why did you hide your lover from us?" his grandmother demanded.
Jin replied, "I wanted to make sure our feelings were mutual and real."
His grandmother's eyes narrowed. "Is this going to be like Yuna?"
Jin's demeanor tensed. "No, Yn is nothing like Yuna."
His grandfather's voice was stern. "If you could forgive Yuna, it's better than an Indian."
Yn felt a wave of tension but Jin immediately defended her. "Please, don't make Yn uncomfortable. She's here because I believe in her."
The grandparents exchanged looks before his grandmother spoke again. "We need to be sure Yn is the one. Why do you love him?" she asked, turning to Yn.
Yn took a deep breath, her mind racing. "I love Jin because he is genuine and caring. Despite his status, he treated me with respect and honesty. I see the passion he has for his heritage and his desire to preserve it, and I admire that deeply."
The room fell silent as the grandparents absorbed her words. Finally, his grandfather nodded. "We will see how this unfolds. But remember, we will be watching closely."
Jin squeezed Yn's hand, offering her a reassuring smile. "Thank you for standing by me."
Yn smiled back, feeling a mix of relief and determination. This was only the beginning of their journey, and she was ready to face whatever came next.
