Aelynn sat in her bed, the covers barely over her legs as she watched her aunt open the front door. She had left her bedroom door cracked open to have a view of the hallway leading to the front door so her family couldn't sneak up on her as they had been since the seance. Jeremy had spilled how she had been 'hiding' how she really had been feeling and was forced to be on bed rest. Not to mention how she couldn't stop thinking about her moment with Damon a couple days ago.

Unfortunately for her, her 'bed rest' had taken her away from her sister and the Salvatore brothers since Jenna and Jeremy were hell-bent on making sure she was fine.

"Why are you here, Logan?" Jenna had an edge on her voice, annoyance was one of the key tones.

Aelynn couldn't see the man, but assumed her looked as wrecked as he sounded, "I missed you. I was out of town. I-"

"Yeah, got that email," Jenna cut him off and the Gilbert girl silently cheered for her aunt.

"You got an email?" Logan was quieter, sounding confused. He must have been on one hell of a bender.

She watched as her aunt tilted her head, "you didn't send an email?"

Now, Logan's voice was getting frantic, "I can explain, just invite me in and I'll explain everything."

Just invite me in, Aelynn thought to herself. Logan was one to just walk into a home when he came over. He asked to be invited in. He hadn't come inside yet, which was odd to her. Unless...

"C'mon Jenna, it's me," he was practically begging now. It was almost pathetic.

Jenna looked back towards her niece's room, seeing Aelynn watching her with a very confused look. Then she turned back to Logan, shaking her head.

"The answer's no."

"I know you. You're always one step from a 'maybe'. A tiny nudge to 'yes'."

Jenna scoffed, her entire body moving back and away from Logan, "you just pointed out that I have no self-control. Clever strategy," she slammed the door in his face before a response was given.

Aelynn watched as her aunt turned towards her room and walked in.

"You heard all of that," she pointed towards the front door. When Aelynn only nodded, Jenna sat on her bed and let out a sigh. "He's a dick."

The brunette let out a laugh, "you got that right. TV personalities have very little actual personality when it comes down to it."

The morning was difficult for the Gilbert girl. Her head was pounding, she didn't sleep the best, and on top of that she had gotten a text from Damon. She stared at the screen of her phone for what felt like hours as she read the message over and over. He was leaving. And he didn't have the decency to even come say it in person.

Aelynn let out a frustrated sigh, leaving the Salvatore brother on read before making her way to the kitchen. She was dressed down in plaid pajama pants and a tank top with her hair going down her back in a french braid. She had found it would pull less on her hair and relieve some of the pain she was feeling. She looked at her sister, who was dressed for school in skinny jeans and a long sleeve shirt and then her aunt who was dressed for class.

Both the women turned towards her, surprised looks on their faces.

"Jeremy has his sketch pad out," Elena smiled, obviously excited about their brother getting back into doing thing she was passionate about before the accident.

Aelynn smiled at this information, at least one good thing was happening today. "That's great!"

Jenna then looked at Elena as Aelynn went to get a glass of water.
