Something tickled my forehead. It felt like fingers that combed through the strands of my hair, slowly taking in its texture.

"I thought you said you weren't going to sleep?"

I sprung up.

My eyes darted about as I tried to remember where I was, and a pathway surrounded with all sorts of greenery, and a bench where Axel and I sat slowly revealed itself to me.

"Did I sleep off?"

Axel began laughing to himself as I stared at him.

"Did you? " He asked me back, laughing even harder.

"Shoot..." I sighed as I rubbed the feeling of drowsiness from my eyes. "You should've woken me up, Axel."

He had calmed down by now and he gazed softly at me.

"I kinda felt bad since it's pretty much my fault you're so tired, but you also looked so calm while you slept."

"I'm so sorry." I apologized, sighing once more.

"It's alright. If anything, I found it pretty cute seeing you sleeping soundly like that... on my lap." Axel smirked as he talked with his eyes locked on mine, seemingly finding joy in teasing me and watching me turn pink.

"Oh my gosh!" I lamented playfully while covering my ears and laughing softly. "I get it... But what if we're late?"

"Hey," Axel placed his hand on mine, "It's okay, you weren't even asleep for so long, and it's not so late anyway. We still have lots of time left too. In fact, so much time that you could even sleep a bit more since you seem to be a bit tired. You could totally rest on me again."

"Axel." I sighed as I watched him laugh again. "I'm not gonna do that, and I'm not really tired. At least, not after that nap."

"Glad to hear my laps were that comforting." Axel grinned.

At this point I just stared at him as he chuckled once more. He reached out to me and pulled me into a hug. I was starting to get annoyed, but I hugged him back and felt as he dug his face into my shoulders.

"Are you sniffing me?"

"Maybe..." His voice sounded muffled. "You do smell good."

"Ok now, that's enough." Embarrassed, I began pulling him away.

"I like you so much..." He whispered into my ear.

I could feel it turn red as his breath tickled my skin. "Me too." I smiled as I pulled him in once more.

"Maybe we should start going to the amusement park?" We slowly pulled back after what seemed like forever and I slowly slid my fingers into his.

"I was just thinking the same thing." Axel smiled softly. He tightened his grasp on my hand before getting up and pulling me up. "Let's go."

We continued our walk down the path, a road that Axel seemed to have "found". He said that he'd go on walks down the path whenever he felt down and needed to clear his head. That it was special to him as people rarely passed through it, though it was such a lovely place.

"I come here whenever I have fights with my parents..." He'd say solemnly.

I looked around and it was really pretty. The trees surrounded me and their branches reached out, bunched with leaves that brushed against my face a few times when I wasn't paying attention to them.

"We're almost there." Axel announced, pulling me towards the end of the path that opened up to a road. "Should be on the right... and yeah, we're here!" Axel smiled, laughing a little at the huge sign with the park's name on it.
