Chapter 5: A Small Open Lead

Chirag and Simran were at the GP (Ganpath) orphanage..

Shekhar and Aastha were investigating the victim's identity, they had circulated the face to get to his family or relatives..

Reyansh was re analysing the DNA samples on the victim, since Chirag doubted there could be some trace of the killer..

Chirag sighed as the warden of the orphanage told them the same thing Chirag feared, there were too many people who could do this, their email was used by many, it was the orphanage email..

GP orphanage had gained so many interests, that now it was an all India organisation..they saved lakhs of children, their email was the same for each branch, which was their only disadvantage, and the killer was using it..

Simran was analysing each person's body language..they had called in wardens and heads of almost all the branches..

But she found no one suspicious..

Chirag asked her:"Ma'am kya aap mujhe yahan kaam karne Wale employees, jinhe is email ke saare login details pata ho, unke naam, number aur address de sakti hai? Aur haan, unka bhi jinhone pichle ek saal mein job chodi ho.."

The warden nodded, and Chirag asked the same from the other wardens..

Chirag was standing up, when he saw Shaanti walk in..

Simran stood up and spoke without glancing at Chirag:"No one suspicious yet.."

When she didn't get a reply, she looked at Chirag, and saw him staring at someone..

She followed his gaze to see a woman in a sari...she was greeting the children, who were gathered around her, asking her to give them the daily chocolates..

Warden saw her and went to greet her, she seemed a nice lady..

Chirag's eyes stung with anger, he couldn't believe his eyes...the woman who had made new ways to torture him, was now faking herself as a philanthropist...

He had to look away for a second..

Simran found his behaviour wierd, but reminded herself that she had no rights to look into his personal matters..

Shaanti glanced around the orphanage and saw Chirag..

She smiled and walked to him:"Hello Chirag beta"

Simran raised an eyebrow in confusion..

Chirag suppressed the anger he felt, and spoke:"Beta nahi Ms. Shaanti Pancholi, officer Chirag....and I'm glad aap yahin mil gayi, kuch baat karni thi aapse."

Shaanti:"About what beta?"

Simran:"I think he told you very clearly, he's an officer here, ma'am, address him as such"

Shaanti's eyes glinted with anger, but she immediately suppressed that. She nodded:"About what officer?"

Chirag:"Simran, tum orphanage ki procedure complete karke office mein milna. I'll come after some time.. and Ms. Pancholi, let's talk at a quieter place.."

Simran left to do her bidding, knowing the drill by now.
Chirag and Shaanti got into the warden's cabin, as she left with Simran.

Chirag came straight to the point:"Aapki behen aur unke pati ne mujhe kahanse adopt Kiya tha?"

Shaanti was surprised:"I don't know that Chirag, I thought tum kisi case ke baare mein puchna chahte the.."

Chirag:"Ek CBI officer aapse sawal kar raha hai ma'am, and thus it's your duty to answer my question"
