It is said that an injured lion is far more dangerous than a normal lion.

He felt the exact same. Running his hand through his unruly mop of black hair, the killer glared at his backup place.

If his helper in the plan wouldn't have told him about the CBI having found his place, he would have got caught.

He never liked his plans flopping. The killer took a dart and struck it right in the eye of the next target.

It was time to get to the next level and he couldn't wait to see the investigator's reaction.

He grabbed his backpack and pulled over the mask. He had planned to abduct Ishaan tomorrow and now he had some time to distract the CBI. He knew they would never be ready for it.

....

Sujoy sat on the sofa of his living room, waiting for his brother to come home.

He wished he had popcorn, because he knew their parents were going to scold his elder brother Rohit for coming late again.

Mr and Mrs Roy were waiting impatiently. Mr. Roy was pacing the room with angry strides while Mrs. Roy was barely controlling the urge to whack Sujoy for finding humor in this situation.

Rohit stepped in with the spare key and took a deep breath as he saw his family.

Rohit opened his mouth to tell them why he was late when Mr. Roy spoke:"Only speak the truth Rohit. No excuses this time."

Rohit sighed and tried his luck:"Dad..just once pls, ok? Next time I'll try to inform you that I'm getting late."

Mr. Roy:"Tell me where were you?"

Rohit sighed, putting his hands in his pockets:"Dad cut the crap pls. Main next time se nahi karunga na"

Mr. Roy:"Ye sauvi baar hoga jab tu mujhe yahi keh raha hai. I'm done with your irresponsible behaviour Rohit. College mein bhi tu sirf cultural fests mein rehta tha. Pure din college leadership mein."
His tone took a sharper edge, growing louder. "Na padhai ki, na internship dhang se kiya. Isi wajah se tu abhi Tak mere paiso pe pal Raha hai. Bada beta hoke ye sikhayega tu apne chote Bhai ko?"

He shook Rohit by his shoulders, willing to bash some sense into him.

Rohit looked down, his fists clenched in his pockets as if to prevent a violent outburst. He had to remind himself that this man was his father.

Sujoy saw the tension escalating and gently pulled his father back.

"Dad pls calm down, bhaiya aisa dobara nahi karenge"

"Nahi Joy, iska roz ka hai. Aaj ise sabak sikhana padega"

Rohit could no longer be a silent prey and shouted:"Haan toh humesha yahi toh Kiya hai aapne. Sabak sikhane ke liye humesha bas maara hi hai hume. Pehle thappad, usse kaam nahi hua toh belt. Aur aata kya hai aapko"

Mr. Roy freed his hand from Sujoy's pleading grip and slapped Rohit hard.

The force of the jab resulted in his head turning to the side, tears controlled in his dark brown eyes.

Mr. Roy grabbed his collar in anger:"Badtameezi ki saari hadein paar kar di hai tune. Baap se aise baat karte hai. Nalayak."

Another slap landed on his cheek and Mr Roy told him to look at him:"Awara gardi karne se accha hai Ghar pe chudiyan pehenke baith ja. Mardangi toh bachi hogi nahi baap ke paise pe palne ke baad. Dafa ho ja yahan se. Kal se Ghar time par nahi aaya toh Teri taange Tod ke tere haath mein rakh dunga. Chal ja"

He left the collar with a jerk making Rohit stumble.
He stormed off to his room, leaving the other three in the living room.

Mrs. Roy brought a glass of water as Sujoy made Rohit sit.
