Chapter 3: Someone similar

He looked at the tracking system, and kept following it, even though he knew every step he was taking, even though he knew where and what his hell looked like..

He reached on the 3rd floor, near a house opposite to Rey's..

Chirag knew where Rey lived, because even though he never visited, his colleagues did..

Chirag couldn't touch the door, this was the house he was abused..

He knocked on the door with shaking hands...

He heard some hustling and then the door was opened by a young boy..

Rishi smiled seeing Chirag at his door..

He pinched himself and winced loudly..

Chirag was staring at him, the face was so similar to his own..

Normally people wouldn't notice, but being in the Crime Branch taught you to see people accurately..

Chirag couldn't believe what he was seeing, how could this guy look so much like him..

He was startled out of thoughts by the boy's wince..

He looked at him again, and saw him rubbing his skin..
Chirag:"What?"

Rishi shook his head with a wide smile:"I can't believe my inspiration is here.."

Chirag frowned, he looked behind and beside him, to confirm if someone else had come here or not..

He then looked at Rishi weirdly and pointed to his own self:"Inspiration? Me?"

Rishi nodded enthusiastically..

Chirag looked at him in disbelief, so the hacker was a drug addict probably, who else would be crazy to hack a government portal, and then call himself a fan of a government officer..

Chirag entered and checked the place for drugs or alcohol..

He was surprised to find nothing..

He looked at Rishi in confusion:"You hid all the substances?"

Rishi frowned:"Which substances sir?"

Chirag walked closer, taking threatening steps towards him:"Don't you try to play dumb..I know you're high.."

He sniffed Rishi's tshirt, but was surprised to not find any foul smell..

Rishi giggled slightly:"Sir I don't do stupid things.."

Chirag glared at him and went inside, he reached the room where the laptop was kept...

Rishi saw him approaching the laptop, and ran behind..

Chirag had a hard time controlling his panick..the house was his living nightmare..

Every corner reminded him of his abuse..

Though the house was decorated differently, it's essence couldn't be changed..

Chirag tried to ignore his panick and walked faster to the room, and felt dizzy with memories..

He had to hold the wall to calm himself..

His head spinned, he shook his head and walked ahead slowly.

"Get the salt or I'll burn your hand"

"Koi kaam dhangse nahi karte, you deserve to be punished"

Chirag frowned and held his head, he took deep breaths, trying to dissolve the voices in his head..

He hated the house..he hated everything..

Rishi saw him having difficulty in breathing...

He frowned and went to him..
Chirag was sweating profusely..

Rishi rushed to get him a glass of water..

Chirag held the wall and kept breathing heavily...he closed his eyes tight and kept chanting a prayer..

He slowly calmed down..

Rishi passed him the water as Chirag opened his eyes..

Chirag shook his head and went to the room..

Rishi frowned and mumbled:"Arey paani hi toh Diya tha.. ajeeb hai ye real mein"

He ran behind as Chirag took the laptop..

Rishi stood quietly as Chirag opened his laptop and frowned seeing the password..

Chirag glared at Rishi for a minute and then looked back at the laptop..

He did some tricks, and the laptop was hacked open..

Rishi's mouth went wide open..
Chirag checked the laptop, while wondering why Rishi didn't fight him or try to stop him from taking the laptop, this indicated the guy was either clueless or didn't consider this a crime...

When he saw the IP address, Chirag was sure he was the second case..

He stood up and asked:"You know what crime have you performed?"

Rishi shook his head:"No sir, I don't think it's a crime, I was just curious about the killer these days, and wanted to get more information about him..his killing seems to be similar to that Delhi one, and so I did this.."

Chirag was slightly impressed on the boy's smartness, but he couldn't let this go..

He sighed and held Rishi by his shoulders, Rishi felt a sense of comfort at that..he felt the warmth one could feel around loved ones..maybe because he had always dreamt of this..

Chirag spoke calmly:"Your curiosity is good kid, but you can't hack into websites to quench your curiosity, you need to be patient and let the police do their work..."

Rishi bobbed his head:"I realised that sir, I won't hack into government websites from now on.."

Chirag coughed to interrupt..

Rishi corrected himself, embarrassed:"I mean I won't hack into any websites.."

They saw Srikant come in, and sighed...

Srikant and Chirag discussed something, as Rishi sat on the bed impatiently..

Chirag:"Sir I don't think we need to take any strict actions against the kid... he's a prodigy, and used his skills to quench his curiosity...I've seen his history, he keeps seeing murder mysteries... apparently wants to be a detective or something.."

Srikant:"But we need to punish him once atleast, to make him realise how wrong this is.."

Chirag sighed:"Fine ka karlete hai fir?"
Srikant nodded..

When they told Rishi the amount, he paled..

He cursed himself in his mind and nodded because he had to..

They were about to leave when Rishi called Chirag..

Srikant looked at Chirag and indicated him to handle it, he muffled a yawn and left for his home, he wanted to sleep..

Chirag sighed and turned to Rishi..

Chirag raised his one eyebrow..

Rishi spoke nervously:"Sir, fine thoda Kam ho sakta hai? I earn a little and live alone...umm"

Chirag sighed:"Toh aise kaand kyon karte ho..bhugto ab"

Rishi paled:"Sir itne paise nahi hai abhi..rent mein chale jayenge saare.."

Chirag looked at him..
