✦Sankaar✦
Running my hands through my wet hair, I settled them down before picking up my shirt when I heard a horn and walked towards the balcony. The car was back, which means she would have reached her college.
Wearing the shirt, I went through its buttons and out of curiosity decided to call her. I just wanted to call her for some reason that I don't know. The ring went on for a few seconds.
Why isn't she picking up the call?
As I relaxed, reclining with my hand cushioning my head, her image flooded my mind the moment she picked up the call. She appeared before me like an ethereal vision, adorned in a pristine white anarkali suit that accentuated her graceful silhouette. The soft glimmer of silver jhumkas and bangles adorned her ears and wrists, shimmering with every movement she made. The delicate fragrance of rose and lavender enveloped my senses, transporting me to moments spent in her presence. Her lustrous locks were elegantly tucked into a loose bun, with a few rebellious strands escaping to dance playfully around her face, teasing the silver bangles that adorned her delicate wrists. Every detail of her attire and demeanor was etched vividly in my memory.
"Are you going to say something, or should I cut the call?" And I realized I was daydreaming while calling her.
"Um..a-actually, yeah, did you reach college?" I asked, running my hands through my hair.
"Of course. Anything else?"
I stayed silent.
"Should I cut the call?" I shifted on the bed, sighing. "Fine, I am cutting, okay?" She asked again.
"Sanskaar!" I threw my earpods out, or else this lady is going to make me deaf one day.
"What happened?"
"You aren't even listening," I bet she pouted at this.
"I am all ears, just say it."
"Umm.. yes, you are resting, right? Don't you dare get up from bed."
"As you say. Anything else?"
"Yes, I am telling you I have my spy there, so don't be oversmart and take your medicines on time, and sleep okay? And don't drink cold water and eat food on time, and don't use that useless dabba phone of yours, it is not good for eyes."
"Okay, okay Madam. Anything else?"
"No, you are dismissed." I chuckled at her antics. This woman is strange; sometimes she will be all scary, and sometimes she's this cute.
"Accha suniye," I bit my bottom lip to stop myself from smiling at her tone and imagining her. Thank God none of my monkey siblings are at home. Did they see me blushing like this? I will die of embarrassment. What are you doing to me, Mrs. Vaidehi Sanskaar Suryavanshi?
"Ji sunaiye."
"Kuch nahi." Saying this, I heard her chuckling with someone, and the call ended. Hayee!
Slapping myself a few times, I set up my state back to normal. Picking up my Rolex watch, I took my wallet and stepped downstairs, silently like a thief again. To avoid my wifey's spy, my mother.
These ladies will make me crazy someday.
Didn't she tell you to rest? Shut up!
Just as I was about to put my other foot out as well, I heard a voice and closed my eyes, sighing after getting caught. I turned, fixing my coat, and there was my mother standing, folding her arms, looking at me from up to down, and I was just wondering if she is hiding a broom behind her hands.
