जिया, रे जिया वो नहीं
तेरी बतियाँ वो नहीं
दिल में जला है कहीं
प्रेम दीया तो नहीं?

"I still don't understand what took you both so long. See, you've both caught a cold," Ma said, her face lined with worry.
I thinned my lips, trying to hold back a retort. Who's going to tell her that all this happened because of her son? He's the root cause of it. First of all, who told him to get into an accident and come late and even call my best friend a cockroach? No one, that's who.
Wait, he called my friend a cockroach. Let his friend's phone come; I'll make sure to take revenge. If Sam gets to know someone dared to call her a cockroach, she'll make him eat fly soup. Eww.
And yes, the second thing was that I was craving street food, but it wasn't me who offered to eat it. If we hadn't gone there, we wouldn't have gotten wet. Well, I shouldn't complain about it since I was the one enjoying the food, but it's not like he didn't eat either. Okay, he was showing off with his tantrums, but I knew deep down he's the same as me. My poor husband is just too shy to express it. Never mind.
And the last thing, his habits. Like, oh God, all he needs is a reason to kiss me, or I should say, eat my mouth—or, in his language, worship it. He got us late with his kissing act.
The moment his lips touch mine, the need, the hunger, I submit myself to him. I love the way he kisses me, devours me as if I'm all he needs, all he wants, and all he craves.
I sighed, remembering how he pulled me into his arms, how his hands traveled possessively over my body, and how his kisses left me breathless. There was something about the way he held me, the way he touched me, that made all my worries fade away.
He makes me feel loved.
Sanskaar smirked in my direction before replying like the ideal son he is. "Your daughter wants to have junk food."
I replied slowly, "Then why don't you throw up that junk food you supposedly didn't want but accidentally ate?"
Everyone burst out laughing.
"Bhai, when did you start eating junk food?" Garv asked, putting his spoon down and focusing on his brother with suspicious eyes.
"Yes, he never even looks in that direction," Aahan chimed in.
"Something, something, you two fools," Navya smirked in my direction, her smile mischievous.
I slowly moved my foot up Sanskaar's leg under the table, feeling the warmth of his skin through the fabric. His eyes widened as he choked, his reaction making me smile.
"Water, Sanskaar..." I passed him the glass, my fingers brushing his hand as he took it, the contact sending a shiver down my spine. He kept looking at me, his eyes dark with something more than just surprise.
"Thanks," he muttered, his voice low and slightly breathless.
I leaned in closer, my lips barely an inch from his ear. "How was that?" I whispered, my breath warm against his skin. His sharp intake of breath told me my message was received loud and clear.
"Getting too bold, huh?" he whispered back, his voice tinged with a mixture of amusement and desire. "Don't forget we live in the same room, wife."
"So what?" I replied, my tone challenging and playful.
