Sankaar

Heartbeats may be fleeting, breaths may come and go, and blood may flow or cease, but love is a constant that never fades. I won't let it stop.

In a world where everything is temporary, love is the only true constant.

It is the only peace I seek, the only feeling I desire to experience. I long to be loved.

For once in my life, I want someone to say they love me—not because I am Sanskaar Singh Suryavanshi, but simply because I am deserving of love.

Not because of my wealth or fame, but because they choose to love me selflessly.

In these past months, I've loved like a solitary wanderer, yearning to find a place to call my own. I've been searching for someone to whom I can surrender my heart—burdened and heavy with all the pain it carries. Each step I've taken has been along a shadowy path, where I've placed my faith in love with unwavering hope, despite the darkness that surrounded me.

I never lost patience in waiting—whether my feelings were at stake or I knew that enduring another heartbreak might be my undoing. Yet, I took the risk anyway, just for her, because she was worth every bit of it. More than worth it.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that my wife would captivate me so completely. I cherished every moment of it, relishing the way she stirred feelings within me. The happiest I've ever been was realizing just how deeply I love her.

I understood she needed time, and so I waited with my feelings, keeping them gently anchored on the shore of patience.

But when she told me about someone else in her life, I felt worthless once again. Even though I had resolved to prioritize her happiness, my stubborn heart resisted letting her go.

I spent the entire night in turmoil, lying beside the woman I loved, grappling with the pain of what was wrong in my love and contemplating my fate with her.

I resolved to let her go if that was truly what she wanted.

It was a struggle to come to terms with the fact that she was never really mine, but a stubborn, foolish part of me held on. In my attempt to reconcile this painful truth, I shattered my own heart.

I gathered all my anguish, bandaged it with fleeting hopes, and steeled myself to talk with her. I wanted to convey that I was ready to release her and return to the person I was before she irrevocably altered me. The idea of letting her go her was a heavy burden, yet I knew it was necessary for both our sakes.

In these months of marriage, I had glimpsed something in her eyes—if what I saw was genuine, she wouldn't leave me. But if it was merely a mirage, then it was time to abandon my delusional fantasies.

Now, the decision lay in her hands. Her words held the power to either build my world or dismantle it. She had the choice to reign alongside me or make me a prisoner of my own desires. The future of my heart and soul rested on her decision.

As I faced her, I was overcome with a torrent of emotions—fear of rejection, hope for a resolution, and an aching sadness that perhaps love wasn't enough. I waited, my heart in turmoil, for her response, knowing that whatever she chose would shape the rest of my life.

I let her decide, bracing myself for whatever came next.

In that moment, everything else melted away. All my swirling thoughts vanished as if they had been erased, leaving my mind in a state of frozen clarity. My body, once burdened by the weight of turmoil, felt a sudden warmth spreading through it. My heart, which had been heavy with pain and uncertainty, surged with a renewed vitality.
