💄VERITY💄

WHAT...There's no way daddy would agree, this bastard must be lying. I was so off guard I simply gaped at him.

"I guess it slipped your dad's memory. The night of the shindig you'll return with me to join my club. All in the name of peace."

"You're such a fucking liar, my dad wouldn't trade me."

"Believe me or don't. But he said you're not a team player... Always tryin' to escape everyone, he also said something about your obstinate mouth...  Unlike your dad, I happen to like that about you, so why not become my ol' lady?"

"STOP. I-I need to use the restroom,"  I hurridly stood and would have ran if not for this stupid-ass dress.

I rushed past servers and patrons till I entered the lady's room. I went to each stall and bent down to check if I was alone. Once it was all clear I went to the door and turned the dead bolt. I stood at the mirrors and braced myself against the counter to stare at my reflection.

I can't believe dad would say that about me. Rush has to be lying... But he's never lied to me... I WANT to do something... No DO something, to punish them both.... What to do?

I stepped away from the sink and began pacing the length of the restroom.

I have to take care of Rush first.... Now what to do to him? It has to be something to keep him away for a few days... Hmmm. I tapped my chin with my clutch which reminded me of the drug I had in my purse.

I walked to the mirror and grinned in glee, revealing my smudged makeup.

First fix your makeup, then this noose noose of a skirt.

I reapplied foundation and lipstick before turning to my dress. I gripped the hem and tore the rouched hem from around the dress. I sighed in comfort at my newfound leg room. I took the fabric and folded it to fit in my clutch as I figured Oxy might want to re-attched it. I exited, head held high as I marched back to Rush's table. After I stepped past a server I saw that our table was empty. I turned and glanced around for Ransom, and smiled when I saw him.

"May I help you, miz?"

"Verity."

"Can I get you anything, Verity?"

"Do you know where my date is?" I rolled my eyes at the word date.

"He took a call outside, and that was about five minutes ago."

"Thank you, Ransom."

"Oh, your food should be out in ten minutes," he called to my back so I turned and grinned.

At my table I waited for Ransom to disappear before I grabbed Rush's wine glass. I discreetly took out the vial and squeezed a few droppers into his wine. I swished it around and sniffed it. I said a prayer, thankful it didn't have a smell, and placed his glass back. Since he was taking forever I took my phone and selected a group chat with the ladies.
