🥾AXTON🥾
"What do you mean?" Rosalinda asked in a slightly excited tone.
"Come outside with me and I'll explain." I winked at Herc before walking out.
Halfway to the door, I glanced behind to see Rosalinda obediently following me. I turned my head and smirked as I stepped outside. I continued walking until I reached her limo and slid inside. Once I was seated I turned to see her puzzled expression. She paused at the car before sitting beside me and closing the door.
"If you leave without a fuss, I'll drop the charges on your brother," I announced as she opened her smart mouth.
"Really?"
I nodded.
"Prove it."
"Sure."
I took out my phone and clicked on the phone icon. But before I could type out a single digit she stopped me.
"No, no. Let me. I have their number memorized." She smirked as she yanked my phone out of my hand.
She dialed the police number and handed the phone back to me.
"What can I do for you, Wheller?"
"Hey, Serg. I wanted to discuss the charges against the-."
Suddenly the phone was yanked out of my hand I watched Rosalinda hang up the call.
"I believe you. I'll leave, but text me when it's done."
"Sure." I nodded and hurriedly exited the car.
I walked a foot away from the vehicle and watched it drive away. After it was out of sight I quickly redialed Serg.
"Axton? What was that?"
"Sorry, Serg., I had to fake that call to you to get rid of my ex-nanny."
"Ahhh. Hernandez's sister, Rosalinda, correct?"
"The one."
"Is she stalking your family?"
"Not sure, but somehow she knew about my new nanny's arrival."
"It sounds like she left a loyal follower, Ax."
"Seems like it. I just don't know who it could be."
"Well until you find them, I'd recommend you come in and apply for an order of protection."
"That's what I was thinking. I'll come in tomorrow, if you're not busy."
"I shouldn't, depending on when you come in."
"How's early morning?"
"That'll work."
"Alright, see you tomorrow."
"Bye, Serg."
After ending the call I walked to the group of patchies still gathered.
"Jax, Jeb, go close the gate, please."
"Sure thing, Prez." They saluted and took off down the driveway.
I chuckled at their enthusiasm and turned my attention back to the others.
"Feel free to relax, and consider this an official Skull Reaper holiday."
The crowd cheered while I returned inside to Herc and the twins.
"Ax! You didn't have Sarg release her brother, did you?"
Herc bombarded me as soon as I entered the living room. However, I didn't answer until I sat next to him and shook my head.
"I only pretended to."
