"VEGAAAA?" The twins pulled back and swung myself hands in theirs.
"Yes?"
"Can you play with us in our room?"
"I'd love to, but we have to ask your daddies." I whispered.
"Awww."
"Whyyy?" Both cutely blinked innocently up at me.
"It might be time to eat."
"Ohhh."
"Let's ask."
"Is the barbecue ready?" I looked passed Rosalinda and turned my gaze to Axton and Garr.
"It's one-forty now, so it should be ready at four. That gives you two hours and twenty minutes to do anything." Garr answered after he tapped on his phone.
"Do you need to do anything?" Axton spoke up after him.
"Nothing, the girls invited me to play with them. I didn't want to say yes if the barbecue was ready."
"Ohh, okay." Axton nodded, with a small smile.
"You've got plenty of time to play and unpack, Veg." Garr replied right after.
I turned my attention back to the girls, "let's go girls."
"YAYYY." Both girls squealed and clapped their hands before grabbing mine.
"H- Wait, what about me? Don't you want me to play with you too?" Rosalinda's shrill voice stopped us in our tracks.
"No."
"We've played with you-."
"We haven't with Vega." The twins finished each other's sentence and pulled at my arms.
"Sorry, to replace you, uhh, Rosalie, was it?" I grinned and winked at her as I was pulled around the corner.
"HEY."
I heard a girlish growl and chuckled as the I followed after the twins. They lead me to a closed door that had both their initials and some cute signs.
"This is our room!"
"Ooo, it looks so cool, may I come in?"
"YESSS!"
"Wait, hold on!"
"Pictures time!"
The girls and I turned to see Axton and Garr had followed us. Axton had his phone up while Garr held a Nikon DSLR camera. We smiled and posed as the two big men snapped pictures.
"That's enough daddie."
"Yeah, papa-bear."
The girls complained as they opened the door and I laughed as I was pulled inside. I entered a half blue half lavender room with two beds side by side. Both beds were made and the room was surprisingly clean and neat. No clothes or toys in sight. It made me wonder if the big men in the door way had cleaned it just for my arrival. There were posters of cartoon characters and portraits of the girls from newborn to their current age. Some just the girls, with both dads, and the whole family. However not a photo of their mom, Mandy.
Is Axton still holding a grudge that he doesn't want to have any evidence of Mandy? Not that I'm judging. But the girls will eventually ask about their mom, won't they? Or because they have two dads, it won't cross their minds?
"Vega!"
"Vega!"
I felt a tug on my arms and shook my thoughts away.
