A warm breeze blew the curtains open which casted sun over the bed where Daryl's and my naked body lay covered by a thin sheet. Our legs tangled together as we laid peacefully on our bed in our cabin.

"My precious gem." Daryl kissed my forehead. I nuzzled my head further into the crook of his neck until I was able to kiss the sensitive spot. Daryl shivered which made me giggle.

"Good morning to you too, handsome." I kissed his lips.

"What do you want to eat?" Daryl tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Hmm," I smirked as I fake pondered my answer, "You."

Daryl chuckled, "Aren't you still sore from last night?"

"That seven hours of sleep was long enough of a rest for me, Dixon." I straddled him, sliding his already hard length inside me.

I moaned lightly as Daryl held my hips and pushed me down which made him go deeper inside me. Moans escaped our lips as I swayed my hips back and forth. After flipping me over and having my world rocked, once again, we both climaxed. Panting we both laid on the bed again and cuddled in each other's embrace. We stayed like that for a bit before we cleaned up and dressed ourselves.

Down in the little kitchen I made us some oatmeal and coffee while Daryl sat out on the porch smoking a cigarette. After defeating Negan, Daryl and I decided to start living the way we had planned. When we first arrived we stayed in the "loner" cabin for a few nights until my dad and I were able to reconcile. And after a long chat with my father he gave us his cabin and took the now called "bachelor" cabin for himself. Now that we had a safe community, a home and no battles to fight, we wanted to start our own family. And believe me when I say we took every opportunity we could to make it happen.

I hummed a little melody in my head as I strode out onto the porch. "I've got your.." I paused as I noticed we had a guest. "Carol?"

"Hello Ruby." Carol smiled sweetly as she leaned against the railing.

My brows furrowed as I glanced over at Daryl before asking Carol, "When did you arrive?"

"Not long ago. Your dad showed me the new builds before pointing me in your direction."

"That was rather thoughtful of him." I eyed her suspiciously as I handed Daryl his breakfast and coffee, "So, what brings you here?"

"Should catch up first." Daryl coughed. I eyed him curiously while Carol sighed.

"She should know." Carol said.

"Know what?" I asked.

Daryl shook his head at Carol as I glanced between the two.

Irritated by the silence I asked again, "What should I know?"

Carol frowned, "The Saviors aren't conforming."

"What does that have to do with us?" My eyes narrowed. She better not be asking what I think she's about to! Daryl must have sensed my uneasiness as he placed his food on the bench and stood next to me with his hands on my shoulders.

"They need a new leader. Someone that knows them and has been inside that place."

"Well isn't that a coincidence? That description fits Daryl and myself perfectly!" I said sarcastically. "Do you know who else that describes? Dwight! Why don't you get him to run that show?"

"We've tried." Carol sighed.

"Try harder." I refused to back down.

"Ruby.." Daryl said lowly.
