My fingers tapped on the porch railing impatiently as I waited for Daryl and Rick to return from Hilltop. It seems Daryl and I were both keeping secrets from each other. His secret wouldn't be one much longer as I planned to confront him. After Barnes spilled the truth I stayed inside the walls of Alexandria and planned out a full blown interrogation to get to the bottom of why Daryl was back at Hilltop! I had my assumptions that it had to do with the Saviors. God, I hoped I was wrong!

The hours ticked by and the sun began to set. I went from extremely irritated to anxious and worried. Did something happen?

I already had all my gear on so I marched out of the house with my bow and quiver in hand. As I made it to the gate I was greeted by Eugene and Rosita.

"Ruby.." Eugene began.

"What?" I snapped, cutting him off.

"Daryl and Rick have been delayed." He cleared his throat.

"Delayed how?" I narrowed my eyes at him. I could tell it made him uncomfortable as he couldn't maintain eye contact with me.

"They were trying to get some supplies out of a building and they had a close call." Rosita explained.

"A close call you say?" My brows furrowed. "Are they alright? Do they need help?"

"They're good. Relatively speaking." Eugene explained.

I eyed the two of them suspiciously. Rosita was hard to read whereas, Eugene was almost too easy. "What actually happened?"

"Where do you plan on going?" Rosita changed the subject.

"I was planning on hunting but now you have me intrigued and curious as to why you feel the need to lie to me about what Daryl and Rick are doing!" My lips twitched in anger.

"Why would we lie to you?" Rosita crossed her arms over her chest.

Sighing, I rolled my eyes, "You can give up the gig. I know they are at Hilltop."

"Oh." Rosita's arms fell to her sides. "Who told you?"

"I didn't mean to!" Barnes said from the watch tower.

Rosita rolled her eyes and facepalmed while Eugene gulped, "What do you truly plan on doing then?"

"I'm going to Hilltop." I said matter of factly.

"That wouldn't be wise." Eugene shook his head.

"Why's that?" I took a step closer to Eugene, challenging him.
