Life in the Oberoi mansion continued at a steady pace, a delightful blend of tradition and newfound camaraderie. Annika's infectious energy had woven itself into the fabric of the family, bringing laughter and a sense of youthful vibrancy.

Two months had flown by since Annika and Shivay's whirlwind wedding. Their relationship, though unique, remained firmly rooted in friendship. Playful arguments and harmless squabbles, like the time Annika splashed water on Shivay or the other where he broke his phone in a fit of frustration, had become a regular source of amusement for the Oberoi family.

Annika's event planning career flourished. Her creativity and dedication garnered praise from clients and colleagues alike. Kavya remained her rock, a constant source of support and a partner in crime during their late-night brainstorming sessions.

Despite their unique brand of companionship, a silent yearning bloomed within Shivay.  He admired Annika's dedication to her work and her unwavering support for the family.  He found himself drawn to her infectious laughter and the way her eyes sparkled with mischief.  Yet, the shadow of Kanika's accusations lingered, creating a hesitancy to explore anything deeper. He tolerated her friendship with Akash but couldn't shake off a nagging suspicion.

Akash, upon learning of Annika's marriage, expressed initial disappointment. However, he assured her that her husband would always face his wrath if he ever mistreated her.
He though geographically distant, maintained regular contact with Annika. Their conversations, filled with laughter and shared memories, reassured Annika of his unwavering friendship. Annika, for now, kept the truth about Shivay's identity under wraps, promising to introduce them properly in the future.

Shreya and Om's friendship blossomed, and the younger generation – Annika, Rudra, Om, Kavya, Priyanka, Shreya, and Akash – found themselves forming a close-knit group, often hanging out together.

Annika's bond with Shakti deepened, solidifying her place as his favorite daughter – a fact Priyanka, his biological daughter, teased him about playfully. Pinky, on the other hand, maintained a frosty distance with Annika, only interacting with her when absolutely necessary.

Inspired by Annika's work ethic, Jhanvi decided to revisit her passion for jewelry design.  For now, her sketches remained confined to paper, a reflection of her lingering self-doubt. However, her dependence on alcohol had significantly reduced, replaced by a newfound enjoyment of spending time with the family.

Annika adopted the respectful terms "Tai ji," "Tau ji," and "Papa ji" for the elder members of the household, but Pinky remained "Aunty" at Pinky's insistence. Meanwhile, Annika's siblings continued to relish their hostel life, blissfully unaware of the significant change in their sister's marital status. Annika planned to reveal the truth in person, wanting to witness their reactions firsthand.

One evening, as Annika and Kavya were hunched over a table in their makeshift office space within the Oberoi mansion, discussing the finer points of an upcoming wedding extravaganza, the door creaked open. Shivay stood framed in the doorway, captivated for a moment by the sight of Annika. Her brow furrowed in concentration, she meticulously sketched ideas onto a notepad, her focused energy a stark contrast to the playful banter they usually shared. A warmth, a feeling entirely different bloomed in his chest.

To announce his presence, Shivay knocked softly on the door frame. Annika looked up, a playful glint in her eyes as she recognized him.

"Need any help, Billu ji?" she teased.

Shivay chuckled, the once-irritating nickname now a badge of their playful relationship.

"Actually," he began, hesitating slightly. "I have an important business meeting tomorrow. The potential client specifically requested I bring my wife along. Getting an appointment with this person has been a year-long struggle, and now that he's finally agreed, it's a crucial opportunity that could benefit both of us. I know you'd prefer to keep your identity under wraps for now, but this is a private meeting. So, I was wondering..." He trailed off, leaving the question hanging in the air.

Annika's brow furrowed again, this time in contemplation. Attending a business meeting with Shivay wasn't necessarily the issue, but the potential for boredom was.  "Will this person be alone, or will there be others present?" she queried, her voice laced with a hint of concern. "I wouldn't want to sit in on a business discussion and twiddle my thumbs the entire time."

Shivay's eyes lit up at her question. "This means you're considering coming!" he exclaimed, a hint of relief lacing his voice. "And don't worry, you won't be bored. He specifically requested I bring my wife to keep his daughter company."

Annika, a glint of amusement in her eyes, nodded at Shivay's proposal. "Alright, Mr. Oberoi," she teased, "consider it done and send me the details. I'll meet you directly at the venue tomorrow."

Shivay's face broke into a relieved grin. "Perfect," he replied, his tension visibly easing.  With a final nod, he exited the makeshift office, leaving Annika and Kavya alone.

As the door closed, Kavya let out a playful whistle. "Sounds like an adventure in the making! Just remember, di," she nudged Annika with a wink, "business attire for tomorrow. None of your usual comfy kurti and jeans. You're a wife now, remember?"

Annika swatted Kavya's arm playfully. "Oh, stop it, you!  But you're right, I can't exactly stroll into a business meeting looking like I'm headed to the market."

Suddenly, Kavya's eyes lit up with an idea. "Wait a minute," she exclaimed, jumping to her feet. "Come on, di!  We're going shopping!"

Before Annika could even protest, Kavya had grabbed her hand and was pulling her out of the room. "But Kavya," Annika began, her voice trailing off as Kavya's enthusiasm swept her along.

An hour of relentless searching through racks of clothes finally yielded results. Kavya held up a dress triumphantly, a sleek, professional number that commanded respect without sacrificing Annika personal style. Annika eyed it critically, then a slow smile spread across her face. "Alright," she conceded, "this will do."

Kavya beamed, her mission accomplished.  They continued their shopping spree, picking out accessories and a pair of stylish shoes to complete the look.

The following day, Shivay arrived at the upscale hotel well ahead of schedule. Having factored in Annika's fashion flair and potential tardiness, he'd set their meeting time for 4:30 pm, knowing the actual appointment wasn't until 5:00 pm.  He waited impatiently outside the entrance, glancing at his watch every few minutes.  Despite his self-assured demeanor, a hint of anxiety gnawed at him.

True to his suspicions, the clock struck 4:50 pm, and still no Annika. Shivay paced restlessly, dialing her number repeatedly. Each unanswered ring sent a jolt of frustration through him.Just as he was about to reach his breaking point, a taxi pulled up in front of the hotel.

Out stepped Annika, a vision of elegance in the dress they'd chosen the previous day.

The anger that had been simmering within him melted away, replaced by a wave of admiration. The dress hugged her curves perfectly, yet maintained an air of professionalism. Her hair was styled in a sleek chignon, and her makeup was flawless.  He watched, mesmerized, as she approached him, a confident stride in her step.

Annika, oblivious to the internal storm she'd caused, stopped in front of him. "Mr. Oberoi," she announced with a playful smile, "lost in thought, are we? We don't want to be late, do we?"

Before Shivay could stammer out a reply, she brushed past him and headed for the hotel entrance.  A sheepish grin spread across his face as he hurried to catch up.  Annika's fashionably late arrival, while initially frustrating, had served as a reminder of her independent spirit, a quality he found increasingly endearing.  Together, they walked into the hotel, ready to tackle the business meeting and whatever unexpected adventures awaited them.
