[K]enma didn't know why he let his friend drag him to that party.

Kuroo insisted that he needed to go, something about ending off his third year with a bang. Kenma never understood the concept, he was more than happy with ending off his high school graduation by pulling an all nighter playing the new game series his parents got him as a gift. But apparently, that was 'unhealthy', and Kenma still had his 'whole life ahead of him', Kuroo's words. Moreover, he was well aware of the fact that Kuroo, along with the other seniors from the volleyball team, attended a similar party at the end of their third year. Kenma had been fortunate enough at the time to have still been underage, so Kuroo didn't pester him to tag along since there was almost always alcohol at these things.

This year, however, was different with Kenma finally turning eighteen. Kuroo warned him during his graduation year that he would get the blonde to attend the after party once he was legal — Kenma didn't take him seriously then. Big mistake.

He now only had himself to blame when he, against his better judgement, allowed Kuroo to drag him to the doltish party.

His best friend had a girlfriend at the time who tagged along with them. Kenma couldn't remember her name, it was during the time Kuroo was still in and out of relationships after a particularly bad break up in his senior year. All Kenma could remember was the extra effort he had put in to avoid looking anywhere but her eyes. He had forgotten how women typically dressed to these parties. Kuroo seemed to be into it when women left little to the imagination, Kenma would be lying if he said that particular style of dressing didn't make his eyes linger a tad too long — but it was a whole other story when the woman in question was his best friend's girlfriend.
