[I]t was around 6 pm when you walked into your apartment, the plastic bag from the convenience store that Kuroo insisted on paying for, dangling from your hand. You kicked off your shoes at the entrance, sighing with relief as you slipped into your comfortable house slippers. "I'm home," you called out, your voice echoing slightly in the quiet hallway.

"Welcome back!" Sayuri's voice drifted from the lounge, where she was still sprawled in the same spot you had left her earlier. Her eyes were glued to the TV, deeply engrossed in some drama series.

"I got your pads," you said, holding up the bag as you walked into the living room.

"Thanks," Sayuri replied absentmindedly, her attention fixed on the unfolding drama.

You smiled slightly at her blithe demeanour, a welcome distraction from your uncomfortable encounter with Suguru that morning. "I also got instant ramen, so there's no need to cook. Not that you were planning on it anyway." Sayuri tore her eyes away from the screen long enough to give you a playful glare. "I'm on leave, why should I cook?"

"Stop arguing like you even know how to," you shot back before disappearing into your room.

You pushed the door closed with a soft click, letting out a deep sigh as you leaned against it. The weight of the day hung heavy on your shoulders, your mind replaying the frustrating encounter with Suguru. You shuddered at the thought, trying to shake off the lingering repulsion as you tossed your bag onto the bed.
