[T]he next morning, a pale light filtered through the curtains of Kenma's penthouse, casting a soft glow over the bedroom. You stirred under the blanket on the bed, your eyelids fluttering open. Your body ached from the previous night, and your eyes felt puffy from crying. You turned your head slightly to see Kenma, already awake, moving quietly around the room.

The brunette glanced over as he heard you stir. He offered a small, gentle smile, trying to mask the worry etched on his face. "Good morning," he said softly. "I made breakfast. How are you feeling?"

You sat up slowly, pulling the duvet against your chest. "I'm... better," you replied, though your voice was still shaky. The events of the previous night loomed large in your mind, and you struggled to push them aside.

Kenma brought over a bed tray with toast, eggs, and a steaming mug of tea. He set it over your lap and sat down beside you, his expression a mixture of concern and determination. "You need to eat something. It will help," that coming from the person who hardly ate at all.

But you nodded, before picking up a piece of toast and nibbling on it. The silence between you was heavy, filled with unspoken questions and lingering fear. Kenma watched you closely, his heart racing at your evident distress. As you sipped your tea, he decided to gently broach the subject that had been gnawing at him all night. "Y/n, can you tell me what happened last night? he asked tenderly. "I want to help, but I need to understand first."
