Wooyoung's vacation ends with a two day trip back home. He's glad Yeosang is here with him, driving Jongho's precious Mercedes with care back to Ilsan. He knew from the start he would not go back home alone, he doesn't have the strength to do it, but he also knew his best friend would be prepared to join him back home. It's a matter of two days only, well, actually a day and a half since this one does not really count. One night. He can manage. He also needed a small break from San. Things haven't gotten awkward between them to his surprise as he thought they would. But they act pretty normal, they still cuddle at night and it's either San who wakes up in his arms or the other way around. They actually talked about it one night, when sleep was no reaching either of them. San noticed too, this weird change ever since their trip to Namhae. He can't fall sleep either as he used to.
He tries his best not to think of it too much. It's just cuddling, the same cuddling he does with Yeosang quite often.
Then why is his heart racing or flipping inside his chest all the time? He knows by now feelings are involved here, in whatever this situation with San is. He's pretty sure the older sees this as a simple friendship, if they ignore the part where they had sex four days ago, but it cannot be more than this from his perspective. It's impossible, his brain does not process anything else. San can not like him back, it does not work like that.
They reach Ilsan at around four in the afternoon. The streets are busy, mid traffic. The weather is nice, with the sun shining above, but the idea of arriving home glooms his vision a little. How much he started hating hearing this name, and all due to the trauma from his past. He will never be able to wander the streets he grew up in like before, he will never be able to hear the name Ilsan without thinking of his dad and it will never be the same. They reach the apartment complex near the lake around five and all that due to traffic jams. But at least they're here, in front of the new building with twelve floors.
"When do you want to leave tomorrow?" Yeosang asks when they're inside the elevator, waiting for it to reach the tenth floor.
As quickly as possible, he wants to say but keeps it to himself.
"Around five or six? With this traffic it will end up being night by the time we get back."
"Fair enough."
His mom waits for them with the front door wide open, smiling widely. Wooyoung lunges himself at her, embracing her tightly while burying his nose in the crook of her neck. She smells like home, the comforting part of it. When they break the hug, he scans her small face a little. She looks tired, sign she must have gotten home not too long ago, but she still puts that smile on her face.
"Hello!" Yeosang greets with a cheeky grin and wraps her in an even tighter hug. In the mean time, Wooyoung proceeds to grab his backpack and enter the apartment while shaking his head. After so many years, Yeosang became her other son and the older always makes fun of him saying he is the one miss Jung prefers the most.
"You two look amazing!" His mom gasps with joy and locks the front door once Yeosang has stepped foot inside the hallway. "And the new album is quite amazing."
"You liked it?" The older beams and chuckles, taking off his shoes along with Wooyoung.
"With eight hot men in it it's hard not to." Another feminine voice joins the conversation. Wooyoung cranes his neck and smirks up at Yunhee, who leans by the doorframe leading to the kitchen with her arms crossed over her chest. She got herself tanned in Jeju, but the golden hue suits her quite well. But she's annoying if he looks at her for a longer period of time. They look too alike for his own likings. She's quite the rebel girl in their mom's eyes, with great grades and an aspiring future, Yunhee still follows her older brother's steps in terms of fashion and trends. She's about to dye her hair the moment she's out of exams, the girl has told him already and asked for advice on which color would fit her the best. If she starts with the tattoos as well, he's pretty sure their mom will end up crying. "Wait sorry, seven, forgot you were there."
