"I WISH I COULD STAY HOME WITH YOU AND FLY TOY AIRPLANES" wished Manny after being forced to do some bonding with his nephew.
"These aren't toy airplanes, Manny these are models and they're very complicated." he paused putting down the 'model' "you wanna fly one of these, you gotta be familiar with air foil, drag, lift and thrust, and these are all principles of aerodynamics."
"The box says twelve and up," pointed out Manny.
"What?!" asked Jay, and Manny simply pointed at the box.
"You can fly toy planes with Jay next time, today you have to spend time with Luke" Gloria reminded.
"Why?" asked, miserably, the little boy.
"Because his mother invited you so you go!" explained his mother.
"And because we're tired of you, we wanna get rid of you for a few hours." Retorted his older sister from his mother's side, messing his hair.
"Mom, say something to her!" Manny exclaimed, offended.
"Ay, Daria don't say things like this to your brother" reprimanded Gloria.
"I was just kidding, jeez." shrugged the teen.
"Anyway, family needs to be close, right Jay?" Gloria pointed to the man, who had more important matters on his hands.
"I'm sure this is a typo." he assured himself, trying to prove a point.
"I'm sure it is," smiled Daria sarcastically.

Later, when they arrived at the Dunphy household, they found Claire in the kitchen.
"Manny brought his favorite game to play with Luke." announced Gloria.
"It's called 'EMPIRE'. You use strategy to expand your territories and take over the world" Manny explained, holding up the box.
"Luke is gonna love that. He's out back playing" Claire assured the younger boy.
"Do you need me to get you something while we're out shopping?" asked Gloria while Manny and his sister looked out the window, to find Luke jumping on the trampoline with a box on his head.
The siblings looked at each other before looking back at the other boy, watching him fall.
"That's such a nice offer, but I think we're good." declined Claire politely. "Thanks."
"Okay, What about this," Alex came into the room showing her mother her shirt.
"You don't even say hello to Gloria, Manny an-and Da-Daria...?" asked Claire, looking unsure when it came to the teen's name. Daria just nodded in confirmation
"Hi Gloria, Manny and Daria!" she said fakely happily, before turning to her mother. "okay, mom what about this"
"No, you're wearing a dress." Claire disagreed with her.
the little girl sighed "Mom, come on"
"What? It's gonna kill you to look like a girl for one afternoon?" Claire asked her daughter. "It's non negotiable, you could borrow a dress of Haley's again." Claire continued with her task.
"No, that sends an ugly message" she interrupted herself, sighing "That I'm Haley." she concluded. "You know instead of trying to force me to wear a dress, why don't you worry about getting Luke to wear some pants." The little girl finished, making Daria's head snap to the window, seeing in fact the little boy in his underwear. Daria snorted, and hid her head on her mother's shoulder so as not to laugh.
