At a park near the school Daria goes to, the girl sat on the picnic blanket, surrounded by snacks and beverages. She was drawing on her sketchpad waiting for Lisa to come back from throwing away the trash. The weather was great, and the wind just happened to pick up from time to time, blowing her hair and her pages just slightly.
A black haired girl, sitting near her was looking at her, admiring as she sat next to her own friends.
Feeling eyes on her, Daria looked up from her sketch, turning her head to look around. As she crossed eyes with the dark haired girl, she smiled sheepishly, turning back around, feeling her cheeks warm up, as she hoped they didn't redden.
Lisa walked back to the blanket and grabbed her phone, sitting down, opening it up to look at the hour. "We should go in a few minutes, it's almost ten minutes to six." The short haired girl turned to the other who was trying to concentrate back on her drawing and not think about the gorgeous girl.
"Hm?" Daria looked up, nodding to her friend. "Okay, then we should start packing everything" she replied, starting to put her sketchpad in her bag. As she started putting the chips in the plastic bag they brought them in, the black haired girl got up and walked in her direction.
Noticing Lisa stopping, Daria turned to look at her before turning to follow her line of sight, seeing the black haired walking in her direction, before turning back to her activity. 'Surely, she was walking in someone else's direction and we happened to be in her way' she thought to herself but looked up again when she noticed the girl looking down at her. "Hey" smiled the black haired girl, putting her hands in her pocket.
"Hi?" Daria shared a look with Lisa before turning to the girl. "Can we help you?" the girl got up to be in the same line of sight, when she noticed the black haired girl was taller.
"Could I get your number? You're pretty, and I was hoping to get to know you." The black haired girl took out her phone from her back pocket and held it out for the shorter girl. Daria hesitantly took out her own phone and copied her number, before giving it back. "Could I get your name, gorgeous?"
"D-Daria, my-my name's Daria" the girl introduced herself.
"Great, my name's Noelle," the now introduced Noelle replied. "I'm going to ring you so you can have my number too." The girl put her phone at her ear, waiting for Daria's to ring. When it did finally she smiled, "That's me, don't bother answering."
"Okay" Daria hung up before adding the girl's number to her phone.
"Bye, hope to hear from you." Noelle smiled, before waving at both girls, walking back to her friends.
"What just happened?" Daria scoffed a laugh, disbelief etched in her face, she couldn't believe someone would ever actually ask for her number, and the person being a girl was so much better.
"That girl just asked for your number!!" Lisa smiled big, happy for her friend.
"Yeah, I-I just can't believe it" the Italian girl breathed out "She asked for my number, mine" Daria smiled her eyes blown wide.
"Yeah!" Lisa smiled before looking at the time, frowning "yeah, but it's not time to freak out, we should go, it's six."
"Oh, shit" the girls scrambled to put away things to bring to Daria's car.

"dad, dad, pa, papà! Paaa!" Daria yelled out for her dad. "Non crederai mai a quello che è successo!" She put down her bag in the kitchen before turning to look at the dining room, only to find her dad sat at the table with his friend? date? colleague? Daria didn't really know. "Hey, I'm Daria" she smiled pleasantly, trying to save her first impression, then she moved around the isle to shake the hand of the unknown person. (You'll never believe what happened!)
