Chapter 4

It was Friday, and we're currently in the locker room. Changing outfits for our physical education class. I'm tying my hair up and seriously facing the mirror when a girl approaches me.

"Hi!" - she greeted.

I lazily cast my eyes on her and raised my brow.

"You are?"

"It's Maureen. We've been classmates since first year."

"Ah, okay."

Bumalik na ako sa pag aayos pero kita ko pa din sa gilid ng mga mata ko na hindi pa din sya naalis.

"What do you want?" - I asked her.

She seems not to be offended because she's still smiling at me.

"Nothing; I just want to say that we're on one team for today's activity."

She waved her hand and turned around before disappearing into the crowd of girls on the other side of the locker room.

I heard someone laughing on the side, and when I looked, I saw Kylie leaning on her locker and twirling the tip of her hair in her fingers.

"I can't believe you ignored our muse."

"Muse? Her?"

"Yeah, ano ka ba? Ang tagal na natin kaklase yan saka sya palagi ang muse dahil ayaw mo naman pumalit. Hindi mo talaga sya kilala?"

I shake my head because I don't really know her, and I think almost everyone in the class except for Evren and Kylie. It's not my style to pay attention to my surroundings and waste my time getting to know people and things that are temporary.

Don't get me wrong, okay? That Maureen girl is pretty, but I just don't give a damn. 

The whistle blew so loudly as we gathered in the middle of the gym to hear the instructions for today's activity. I'm standing with my team and absentmindedly listening because my eyes were fixed on the phone my classmate was holding.

He's zooming in on the photo and laughing with his friends. My eyes squinted because the picture was quite familiar. If I'm not mistaken, that's... 

"Damn! Look at her shape bro. Grabe. Picture palang ulam na talaga."

"Recent? Naka follow ka din pala sa kanya?"

"Oo naman! Crush ko to e. Sarap kasi!"

"Single daw yan? Totoo ba?"

"Ewan. Kung ako magiging boyfriend nito, naku walang pahinga bro! 7 days a week yan!"

They laugh lowly and hide the phone quickly when our professor comes in their way. My jaw clenched and my blood boiled because I couldn't. Just what the hell? That's my wife!

The game is not even starting when I grab the ball and look for my target. Without thinking twice, I spike it towards them.

Sapul sa mukha yung pinaka maingay kanina pagkaharap nya kaya ayon nag dive sya sya ground habang hawak ang ilong nya. Tinulungan naman sya ng mga itlog nyang kaibigan na nagulat din sa pangyayari.

"Oopss, akala ko walang tao e."

Mga animal!

"Kenny! Hindi pa nag start may nabato ka na agad. By the way, ang galing mo umasinta!" -  sabi ni Kylie at may pagpalakpak pa.

Lumapit din sa amin si Evren na natatawa.

"Basag yata yung ilong, Kenny hahaha. Dugong dugo e." - hirit nito at umakbay sa akin.
