Chapter One-I Don't Belong Here

*Fifth Year*

It was a cool summer's day and I had resided by the small lake in the backyard. The area soon became my own after my first days living in my new home. My long black hair had been spread across the freshly cut grass while I lied there. I peacefully ran my hands along the grass as I hummed a song that I heard on the radio earlier. I was in complete and utter bliss.

"ELORA!?! ELORA?!?! Where the bloody hell are you?!?" Hermione interrupted my time alone by shouting my name for the whole world to hear.

"Where else would I be?" I call back as I sit upright. She runs over to me and pulls me off the ground, "Jesus, when did you get that strong?"

"Never mind that. We must hurry. Ron has owled me and we need to get going," she tried to explain.

"We? Why we?" I question. I meant no harm, but Ron and I weren't exactly best mates. He resented me, more precisely. He was the only one out of Hermione's friends that treated me coldly.

"Mum and dad won't let me go alone, and they aren't allowed to go because they're muggles. I packed your bag already, let's go!" She ushered me inside. Our relationship had been slightly hurt when I was placed in Slytherin. We don't see each other much during the school year, so it's best that we pretend nothing has ever happened during our summers together.

"Be safe you two. We love you very much," mother reminded as we stepped into the fire place. Before I could even respond, we were in a completely different location. I had never seen one like it before.

"Where are we?" I ask, very intrigued.

"Hermione!" Ron yells before I can be answered. His smile slightly falters when he sees me, "oh, hello Elora."

I simply nod in acknowledgement before letting Ron and Hermione chat. I start to wander around the area, my eyes traveling from one spot to the next when I bump into someone.

"Oh, I am so sorry!" I apologize immediately.

"Calm down, Elora, it's quite alright," my former professor, Remus Lupin, acknowledges, "I'm quite surprised to see you here."

"I came with Hermione," I explain, "but I'd have to say the same to you. Where even are we?"

"We are in 12 Grimmauld Place. The Order of the Phoenix is here, waiting for the arrival of Harry," he says as we continue to walk. I was quite comfortable with Professor Lupin. He was kinder to me, disregarding my house and lack of drive, as some teachers say. He hold sessions to help tutor me, one of the only reasons I passed third year.

"What's The Order of The Phoenix?" I ask, but I'm interrupted by a shaggy man I have never seen before.

"Remus, who is this stranger you have let into my house? Don't you think she's a little young for you?" he chuckles to himself, a glint of madness in his eyes. I stare at my feet awkwardly, slightly put off by his joke.

"This is Elora. She was a student of mine and is Hermione's sister," Lupin introduces me.

"Hello there, you may have heard of me. I'm Sirius Black," the shaggy man holds out his hand and I grasp it firmly.

"My sister has told me a lot about you," I politely say.

"The Order of the Phoenix is a secret organization founded by your headmaster. The organization meets here regularly," Sirius answers the question I had directed to Lupin earlier. I didn't have time to carry the conversation because Hermione came rushing in.
