Chapter Thirty-Eight-The Infamous Weasley Jumper

Let me tell you, being on a beach for Christmas is extremely weird. It was practically impossible to do anything fun in the snow because grains of sand had to stick to it. It was quite the letdown.

The rest of the Weasley's had joined us at the safe house, including Ginny who was on her holiday break. The fire was roaring, music was booming, it felt nice to have a new source of life in the safe house again. Fred and George had to leave the WWW for it was too dangerous to be in Diagon Alley in times like these. Mr. Weasley still stayed with the Ministry, he kept a watchful eye on everything there, but something told me that the Ministry was doing the same to him.

"Hello everyone, sorry we're late," a familiar voice says from the front door. In comes Lupin and Tonks, holding a little bundle of blankets that held their little bundle of joy.

"Please don't tell me you're going to leave Teddy here without any explanation too," I say as I walk towards them, arms crossed.

"Now Elora-" Tonks starts but I cut her off.

"Hush and let me see my godson," I grin, holding my arms out for him. Tonks carefully hands him over, him not even breaking his sleep, "Aren't you a precious one?"

"I swear, Teddy can sleep through anything," Lupin claims to the others, letting out a laugh. I had never seen such a happiness in him before. Fatherhood was good for him.

"Just like his father," Tonks remarks lovingly. I continue to rock Teddy in my arms, feeling a strong love for the little one.

"Why don't we all start eating, yes?" Fleur suggests, clapping her hands together. I reluctantly hand Tonks her child back and sit with everyone at the table. I sat in my normal seat, Fred on one side and George on the other.

"Oh before we begin, I have gifts!" Mrs. Weasley cheers, tottering to the living room.

"Oh no," George groans suddenly, dramatically smacking a hand to his forehead.

"What's the matter with you?" I ask, louder than normal in a teasing manner, directly into his good ear. The whole missing his ear thing opened up a whole new world of jokes.

"You two are about to be dragged into the Weasley Christmas tradition," Bill says to Fleur and I as Mr. Weasley leaves to help his wife.

"And that is?" I inquire, quirking an eyebrow.

"I can't say it, they're too horrible," Ginny adds in, covering her eyes in fear.

"The Weasley Christmas Jumper," Fred says in a low, creepy town. The rest of the Weasley's gasp in horror, George even pretends to pass out.

"George, get off the floor!" Mrs. Weasley snaps and George takes his sweet time in doing so.

"You know, I'm a grown man now. You can't keep bossing me around forever," he remarks as he sits back in his seat.

"Fine, then I'll stop you're cooking while I'm at it then too," she bites back.

"Never mind! I love it when you boss me around!" George says nervously, causing laughs to spread around the table. Mrs. Weasley ignores him and passes out her gifts all around the table. I carefully unwrap mine, revealing a wooly green jumper with a white 'E' placed in the middle of it. I pulled it over the short sleeved button up I was wearing before. It was slightly itchy, but I ignored it.

"Thank you, Mrs. Weasley. It's lovely," I grin at her. She smiles in response, muttering how it was nothing. My heart broke as I noticed there were three unopened gifts still at the end of the table.

"Before we start eating, I'd like to make a speech," Mr. Weasley announces as Fred goes in for the food. His hand retreats under his mother's intense glare.

"I think I can say this for everyone else, the table is yours," Lupin says as we all fall silent, waiting to hear Mr. Weasley's words of wisdom.

"This Christmas is different in many ways. We all our anxiously listening to Potterwatch, hoping our loved ones are safe. We must realize that Harry, Ron, and Hermione are fighting the good fight, and we will help them when the moment is right. As for now, all we can do is pray for the best and keep hope. For they have never left us, they're still here in our hearts,"

"Fred, sit still," I instruct him. He sauntered into my room and demanded for me to draw him like one of my French girls. I fear it was a mistake to show him the Titanic.

"It's just so hard. I'm always moving. First you see me, then you don't," he cheekily said before Apparating out of my room.

"Fred, I'll never get this done," I whine to my now empty room. I didn't bother to go after him, I was too tired. I grabbed the picture frame that held the picture of Draco and I, keeping it close to my body. I crept outside my room and headed to the bathroom. I don't know why, but I climbed into the bath tub and put the picture frame on the ledge.

"I thought I saw you come in here," Lupin says as he walks in, "Why are you sitting in a bath tub?"

"I dunno, helps clear my head I guess," I shrug, dusting off the picture frame. Instead of trying to squeeze into the bathtub, Lupin pulls the toilet lid down and sits on the toilet.

"You miss him, don't you?" He inquired, gesturing towards the picture frame.

"I miss everyone. My world is dull without them in it," I reveal.

"You must continue to live your life, Elora, do it for them," Lupin says. Teddy's cries suddenly shook the house, causing Lupin to leave without another word. He looks back and smiles before escaping and tending to his crying child.

"Happy Christmas, Draco," I smile at the picture frame, thinking back to our times on the train. I wished we could turn back time to the good old days, but those days are long gone.
