Chapter Seventeen-Dumbledore's Army?
Weeks passed, snow melted, and things started to look up.
Draco and I were more open about our relationship now. He wasn't afraid to show me off, and I wasn't afraid of letting him. We were very open with one another, but I hadn't told him about Sirius yet. I needed to work it out on my own.
I was studying once again for my O.W.L.S. in the common room, which was surprisingly empty. Empty enough until Draco and his squad walked in.
"Hello, my love," he said, kissing my cheek and taking a place beside me. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder when I felt something cold and metal against the side of my ribs.
"What on Earth is that?" I chuckle, toying with a pin.
"It's for the Inquisitorial Squad Umrbridge created," Crabbe explained, taking a seat across from us, Goyle following his actions.
"You're working for Umbridge?" I asked with disgust lacing through my words.
"All students who join get extra credit," Draco shrugged, "You should join. I know that you want to get your grade up in that class."
"No thank you, I cannot stand that women," I remind him, tapping the words that scarred my other hand. Draco stiffened behind me and his jaw clenched. Sometimes he was bothered by it more than I was, so it was a good idea to lighten the mood, "Besides, those pins are ghastly."
"It'll be worth it when we catch Potter," Goyle grinned. Many Slytherin members thrived on Harry's pain and defeat. It was very bothersome to watch.
"What's Harry doing?" I ask curiously, closing my textbook and leaning forward.
"Potter and his little followers are up to something. I know it," Draco said disgustedly, a frown seeping into his face. I decided against pushing the matters any farther. I made a mental note to write Sirius about it to ask. I looked at the clock against the wall and realized how late it truly was.
"Well, boys, I think I'll call it a day. I'll see you all later," I announce before kissing Draco on the cheek and walking off to my room. I strolled into my room, quickly changing before Draco could walk in. I was well aware that we are dating and it should be no big deal, but I was still shaken up by what had happened at the beginning of the year. Exhaustion took over and I slipped into the bed without thinking of anything. Before I knew it, Draco was sinking in beside me and his arms slithered their way around me. I couldn't help but my heart drop as I realized I was hiding important parts about me from the boy who had given me all I needed.

A few days later I was awoken to a very excited Draco Malfoy. I couldn't help but notice the pleased smirk that decorated his face.
"What has you so thrilled, Mr. Malfoy?" I inquire, a tint of humor in my voice.
"We finally caught Potter and his stupid little friends," he almost cheered.
"Really? What were they doing?" I ask, genuinely interested as I pulled myself in a sitting position.
"Dumbledore had founded a club that had Harry teach his supporters about Defense Against the Dark Arts, using spells I have never even heard of. It's golden," he chuckled, "I knew that man was a rubbish headmaster. He completely vanished when Umbridge came to him about it."
"What does that mean for Hogwarts?" I question. I knew Hermione had been apart of Dumbledore's army and it infuriated me.
"Umbridge is our new headmistress. Maybe she can restore some order to this place," Draco scoffed. The more I thought about the news the more upset it made me. I had ordered Draco to leave the room, so I could get dressed and see my dear sister. Once I was ready, I trekked into the great hall, finding Harry, Ron, and Hermione sitting all alone.
"Harry, Ron, would you excuse me? I need to talk to Hermione," I say through clenched teeth. They scurry away, Hermione sending them a look of betrayal.
"What is it?" she sighs, turning to look at me.
"Dumbledore's Army? Really? You didn't think of telling me anything about it?" I start to go off on her, "I can't believe you."
"Of course we didn't ask for your help! With the people you've been with, it's obvious we can't trust you." she glared. She looked behind me, causing me to turn around and see Draco walk in. He sent me a small wave, but I ignored it for the time being.
"How dare you," I seethe, "Draco has cared for me more than you have all year. Besides, I could've helped you. I could have steered him away. He wouldn't have found out."
"Sure you could have helped," Hermione laughed, "You by far are the worst witch in our year."
"You know, I can't wait for all of this to be over, because then I never have to see you again," I say before stalking away. I grabbed Draco on my way out and pulled him along with me.
