As the sun filters through the satin curtains, I rub the sleep out of my eyes and roll off my bed. I look around and frown at the unfamiliar surroundings.

Oh yeah, I slept over at Rosé's yesterday

Oh yeah, I slept over at Rosé's yesterday.

I pick up the now dry towel I used yesterday and quietly shuffle my way down the hallway to the bathroom, trying not to wake up Rosé. Turning the shower faucet, I carefully adjust the temperature, aiming for warm but not scalding-I'm not trying to peel my beautiful skin off.

Well, not like two days ago. I chuckle softly at the memory, even as a shiver runs down my spine.

The water cascades from the showerhead, the soft pit-patter resembling a gentle rainstorm. As I stand there, letting the warm water run down my back, my thoughts drift to Lisa.

I guess I feel a little guilty about handing in the work without Lisa's approval; it was unprofessional.

But I'm so tired of always considering others' feelings. Maybe it was an act of rebellion after everything that's been going on. I vividly recall her squinting eyes as she stared at me, trying to read my thoughts; there's something about them that makes you question the words coming out of your mouth.

I work the shower gel into my pink loofah and exfoliate my skin, enjoying the tingling sensation.

I've finally finished showering and brushing my teeth.

Wrapping a fluffy towel around my body, I step into the hallway,

"Mornin," Rosé smiles. I notice a savoury scent in the air and see Rosé down the hallway in the kitchen cooking.

"Smells great! What's the occasion?" I say, waving at her with my free hand, trying to keep my towel from falling.

"This is the first time you've slept over in a while, so I thought I'd do something special," she says as she pops some bacon in her mouth.
