I push my way through the crowd, almost getting squished in the hallway as everyone rushes home. Mai, a friend from class, catches up to me.
"Jennie, are you going to come on the trip?" she asks, excitement in her voice.
"I kinda have to, Mai. Grades are on the line," I reply with a resigned sigh, whilst I keep walking through the building.
"Really! This is going to be so much fun. Anyways, I'm heading off to pack with Chase and Edmund," Mai screeches.
I internally cringe, how can some people be so carefree?
"See you," I call back as I make my way to my car.
---
Once I arrive back home, I quickly head upstairs. There's no time to waste. I open my walk-in closet and reach for my suitcases stacked on the highest shelf.
What should I bring? It's only three days. How many outfits do I need? I groan in frustration, I usually spend at least a week packing for a holiday I hate the idea of packing without a plan.
"I need help," I mutter to myself, pulling out my phone and opening Rosé's contact.
---
I drop the suitcase on my floor and plop down next to it, dialling Rosé. She picks up on the second ring.
"Hey, Jennie! What's up?"
"I need your help, Rosé. I have a short-notice trip to Bali and I don't know what to pack" I whine.
Rosé chuckles. "Relax, Jennie. I'll come over and help. Be there in ten minutes." I can hear shuffling on the other side of the phone as she starts getting ready.
" Thanks, babe, see you soon"
I nod, okay we can finally get this started.
---
While I wait, I should be proactive. It's going to be hot in Bali, so I should pack summer dresses, I mutter as I pull some dresses out of my closet and place them on the floor.
Okay, maybe a few vests to keep it casual, I rummage through my drawers.
Wait, if we'll be doing team activities, won't that be sports? Will we even get a chance to relax? I groan, starting to stress out.
"Jennie, I'm here!" I hear a knock on my bedroom door, and Rosé rushes in.
"Okay, so I've got some stuff. I brought sunscreen, a visor, beach bags, and towels," Rosé says as a lot of items fall out of her hands onto the floor.
