Lisa's POV:

Fuck.... I'm freezing. Is the window open?

I push myself out of bed, my legs unstable as my head pulsates.

I stumble towards the window. Nope, It's closed. So, why do I feel like this? I was fine last night. I cough, a harsh, rattling sound that sends a sharp pain through my chest.

I head to the bathroom and flick on the light, squinting at the sudden brightness. My reflection shows red eyes and heavy bags. I sit on the toilet, shivering uncontrollably.

I hate being sick. Ever since I was a kid, I remember waiting for my parents to come home and take care of me. The maids tried their best, but some things are better suited for parents.

Why do I feel like I'm craving Mother's warmth all over again?

------- A few minutes later -----

Feeling a bit better I turn off the bathroom light and tiptoe back to my bed. But wait, what if the shivers return and I'm stuck all alone? I stand in the dark, weighing up options.

I slowly look over at Jennie's bed.

Mmmmhhh... Tiptoeing, swaying slightly, I gently sink onto Jennie's bed.

She won't mind, I mean I am sick. And we all know it's frowned upon to be rude to a sick person. Even though I know she would definitely beat my ass, I gently lift the covers. The warmth engulfs me immediately. This is what I need. I roll under the covers, tucking myself in and inhaling the scent of someone else's shampoo.

I watch Jennie breathe softly, her chest rising and falling.

My eyelids grow heavy, and I start to drift off.

Jennies POV:

I wake up, rubbing my eyes, surprised by the darkness. I thought it would be at least 6:00 AM, I flick my phone open and see it just turned 2:30 AM.

It's so hot under these covers, it's like I'm being boiled alive. My sweat coats every crevice of my body. I lay on something and a groan causes my body to freeze, something is beside me. A monster? A demon? It's vibrating and mumbling.

"Mum," the mysterious figure cries.

WTF, I'm not your Mum you satan spawn, I grasp the covers too scared to turn my head to see what it is. Come on Jennie, One... two... three... On the three I whip my body around and slowly open my closed-shut eyes.

My blurry vision clears and I see a weak-looking Lisa. Sweat drips down her face, contorted in a frown. "Don't, don't," she mutters. She must be having a nightmare. I reach out, touching her forehead-she's burning up.
