Remo's wedding was a success. Despite Samuel annoying all of us, we managed to keep our composure. Hope looked like an angel sent straight from heaven in a red off-shoulder gown. I have a bias for Hope in red and black outfits.

When I draped my coat over her shoulders, she looked perfect and very much mine. I have already decided that she'll be my future wife. I just want to give her time to adjust to our relationship because, outside of the underworld, no one marries after just a few months of knowing each other.

After we gazed at the stars for a while, we retired to our room. Hope took off the coat and placed it on the back of the sofa. She walked towards the mirror and slowly removed her hair ornaments. I moved behind her and helped. She smiled at me through the mirror.

"Can you help me with the zipper of the dress as well?" Hope asked with a cheeky grin.

"All you had to do was ask." I slowly pulled down the zip, my hand tracing every inch of her skin. She shivered at the touch and threw her head back against my shoulder. I gently pulled her dress off her shoulders, and it pooled at her feet. She was now only in panties and a tube bra. She turned around, looking me directly in the eyes.

"Join me in the bath," she whispered in my ear and went to the bathroom. I quickly got rid of the rest of my suit and headed into the bathroom in just my boxers. Hope was already inside the bathtub. I got in behind her and pulled her towards me so that her back was pressed against my chest.

The warmth of the water enveloped us as I pulled Hope closer, her back pressing firmly against my chest. I could feel the steady rhythm of her heartbeat matching my own. She sighed contentedly, her head resting on my shoulder.

"It's been such a long day," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.

I ran my fingers gently through her hair, enjoying the sensation of her silky strands slipping through my fingers. "It has, but it was worth it," I replied softly. "You were the highlight of the evening."

Hope chuckled, the sound vibrating through her body. "Flatterer," she teased, turning her head slightly to look at me. Her eyes sparkled with mischief and affection. "Serafina was the highlight of the day. Remo will gladly beat you to a pulp for just saying what you said."

"I'm just being honest," I said, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "You looked breathtaking. As for Remo, he can try to beat me up, but he'll fail."

She blushed slightly and then closed her eyes, relaxing completely in my arms. We stayed like that for a while, enjoying the peaceful silence, the only sound being the gentle splash of water as we shifted occasionally.

Eventually, Hope spoke again. "Do you think we'll ever have a day like Remo's wedding? A day that's just ours?"

I smiled, tightening my hold on her. "I believe we will. When the time is right, we'll have our perfect day."

She sighed again, this time with a note of contentment. "I look forward to it."

I kissed the top of her head, feeling a deep sense of peace and certainty. "Me too, Hope. Me too."

After a while, the water began to cool, and I gently nudged her. "We should probably get out before we turn into ice cubes."

Hope laughed and nodded, standing up carefully. I followed her out, grabbing a towel and wrapping it around her before grabbing one for myself. As we dried off, the intimacy of the moment lingered, a quiet promise of the future we both envisioned.

Once we were both dry, Hope slipped into a nightgown, and I pulled on a pair of pajama pants. We climbed into bed, the exhaustion of the day finally catching up with us. I pulled her close, her body fitting perfectly against mine.

"Goodnight, Hope," I whispered, kissing her softly.

"Goodnight," she murmured back, her voice already heavy with sleep. "I love you."

"I love you too," I replied, feeling my heart swell with the depth of my feelings for her. As I drifted off to sleep, I knew that no matter what the future held, we would face it together.
