Chapter 13

Hayes' POV:
We were canoeing.
"Hey Daniel," I said.
"What?" He replied.
"I need you to help me talk to Nia."
Daniel did that stupid smirk of his and rubbed his palms together.
"I can help you with that." He said.
We started canoeing again for about 30 more minutes.
"Everyone, get out of the canoe! It's lunch time!" Said Gianna.
"Wooh!" Everybody screamed. Everyone knows that the cafeteria here has the best cafeteria food ever!
I walked with Daniel to the cafeteria.
After we got some food, Daniel sat me down a table from Nia and Paige.
"So what's the plan?" I asked.
"It's right about ti happen. Don't worry, you don't have to do anything. Just be nice and it should work."
"Oka-" I said, right as Daniel shoved me into the chair right beside Nia.
"Uh, hi?" I said to Nia. I was sweating bullets, I was so nervous.
"Hi." Said Nia, without looking up from her plate. I could tell she was nervous too.
"So, I was wondering..." I said.
"Yes?" Asked Nia, hopefully.
"Well, we've known each other for a while now. And, uh, I was wondering, uh..."
"If you'll go out with him." Finished Daniel.
"Uhh..." said Nia.
"Of course she will!" Said Paige, finishing Nia's sentence.
Wow, that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
"See, I told you it would work!" Daniel told me, right as Paige told Nia the same thing.
Yeah, I guess it did work.
