Chapter 31

Paige's POV:
Later that night, we were roasting marshmallows. I sat next to Chloe, Ricky, and Gino. Chloe and I were talking about how I beat her in the swim race, and how Ricky beat Gino. We were having a great time, when suddenly, this girl with curly blonde hair walked up to Kendall. I couldn't hear them talking, so I scooted closer.
"I told you not to come here! Leave, Emma!" Whisper Shouted Kendall.
"No! I'm staying! James and Gianna said I could be a camp counselor." Said Emma, proudly.
"What?!" Chimed in Matthew.
"That's right, you heard me." Replied Emma. "I'm going to be a camp counselor. Call me Counselor Emma."
I turned back to my own little group. I do NOT want to be a part of THAT drama.
"So?" Asked Chloe, looking at me. "What do you think?"
"What?" I asked, confused.
"Ugh, Paige, I've been asking you for 5 minutes!" Answered Chloe.
"Here, I'll explain." Said Ricky, waving his hand in the hair. "We're going to try to get Daniel back in the competition. We're going to switch the pairs around: You'll be with Daniel, and Maddie will be with Gino! Also, Chloe will be with me. Do you like the plan?"
"Uh- I guess?" I replied, uncertain. "But, no offense, Daniel kinda suck at sports. And I want to win this thing."
"I guess you'll have to wait until school starts for Paniel." Said Gino, shrugging.
"I guess." I said. "I'll just have to wait."
Gino's POV:
It was in the cabin that night. I was in the cabin where I saw her. I saw Maddie. I saw Maddie outside of the window. She was hiding behind a tree. With Daniel! I couldn't believe it. First of all, I didn't expect her to sneak out at all, but with Daniel?! What is going on?! Everyone else was asleep, I was the only one awake in my cabin. I climbed out of the bottom bunk of my bed, and tiptoed to the window. I opened it halfway, and motioned for Maddie and Daniel to come over to the window.
"What do you want?" I asked Maddie.
"We want you to come with us!" Answered Maddie.
"Where?" I asked.
"To the other side of camp." Daniel answered.
"Why?"
"Why not?! YOLO!" Said Maddie, laughing.
"Okay, I guess..." I replied, just before they snatched me and pulled me out the window. I stumbled onto the ground, and I think I heard some sticks break...
*the next morning*
I woke up inside the cabin on the other side of camp. Maddie and Daniel were still sleeping. I looked at the clock: 8:00 am. CRAP! ELIMINATION IS AT 8:30! No no no, I can NOT miss this. Chloe doesn't deserve to get eliminated today, not because of me. How was I going to get back to the other side of camp? All of a sudden, I heard the loud speaker say "Everyone, please look for Gino Cosculluela. He is partners with Chloe Lukasiak. If he is not found by 8:30, he, along with Chloe, will be eliminated from the competition."
