Nia's POV:
Hayes' POV:
Where is Nia? She asked me out earlier on the beach. I said no, because I already have a girlfriend! I'm not telling anyone who it is, though.
"Nia! Nia!" I yelled. All I saw were trees, and more trees.
"Nia!" This was starting to get boring. Why is she hiding from me? I gave up. I was never going to find her.
I sat down on a tree stump. Why did I have to be this stupid? Why couldn't I have just broke up with Bethany at the beginning of the summer? I already knew I liked Nia! Crap! I said her name! Well, I might as well tell you.... I'm dating Bethany Mota.
Nia's POV:
I ran away from Hayes. I hid in a blackberry bush. Yeah, don't ever do that. I was wearing a black skiing mask at the time. I was waiting for someone in particular, Daniel. As soon as he came by, I snatched him.
"What? Who is this?" Asked Daniel. I took off my mask.
"It's Nia." I replied.
"Why, what are you doing?"
"Hayes is my partner! If he won't date me, he obviously won't try in the rest of the competition. You're, like, his best friend. Can you help talk some sense into him?" I asked Daniel.
"Fine," said Daniel. "But I'm gonna nee-"
Daniel got Interrupted by a loud noise.
"NIA! NIA! Where are you? We need to talk! It's Hayes!"
I immediately jumped up from the bush, and waved my hand. I walked over to Hayes to talk to him.
"Hi." Said Hayes, nervously. "Hi." I said back. Well, this is awkward...
"So, Nia, I really like you." Said Hayes. "But, there's one problem..."
"And what is that?" I asked, nervously.
"I have a girlfriend." Answered Hayes.
I heard Daniel gasp in the distance ()
"Who's your girlfriend?" I asked, tearing up.
"Bethany," said Hayes. "Bethany Mota."
