Brooke's POV:
The activity for the next day was swimming. I suck at swimming. The last time I went swimming was when I was like 10, but it was with the help of Josh. I wish Josh was here.
*at the river*
I was in my turquoise bikini, while Nolan was shirtless in his baby blue shorts. I couldn't help but stare at his 6-pack. I mean, how could you not?
"Brooke, who are you racing?" Asked Nolan, interrupting my daydreaming.
"Um... I think I'm racing Nia. What about you?" I replied.
"Gino." He answered, smiling. "He can't swim. He has to use a life jacket."
"Oh, you're SURE to win!" I said, smiling.
*time skip to the race*
"Are you ready?" James asked, as I was freezing cold in the water.
"Ready!" We replied.
"Get ready... get set... go!" Shouted James.
I started paddling my arms and kicking my legs. I was losing to nia, by a lot. How was I supposed to beat Nia? She's on a swim team!
I ended up losing, no surprise. I wasn't expecting to win, but it would've been nice to.
••••••••••
Nolan's POV:
"Go!" Shouted James.
I swam as fast as I can. The thing was, I thought I was going fast... but I really wasn't.
Gino was going faster than I thought. He beat me by a mile.
After the reace, I asked Gino,"When did you learn to swim?
He replied with,"I've always known how to swim. I just acted like I couldn't so you wouldn't feel sad that you're a slow swimmer." He acted as if that was the funniest thing he's ever heard.
Who knew Gino was that sneaky?
I walked over to Brooke.
"Who knew we were BOTH going to lose today?" Asked Brooke.
"I have no idea." I replied. I kissed her on the cheek. "But at least we lost together."
