THE IGNORED PRINCESS

CHAPTER 26

PLACE: COMMON CHAMBER, HASTINAPUR

     After speaking with Pandavas and Draupadi, Vasundhara reached the common chamber.  The three musketeers, their wives and Panchabhootham were speaking about what happened in 1 month in each of their life.  Everyone attention zeroed on Vasundhara when she entered the room.  Everyone become confused seeing her lost in her thoughts.  Without noticing her surroundings, Saagnika came and sat on the couch still lost in her thoughts.

     Everyone looked at each other and finally Suyodhan voiced out making Hrishika come out of her thoughts "What happened, Zaara?  Where are you lost in thoughts?"  She sighed and said "It's nothing Suyo, I just met Pandavas and Samragyi."  Everyone looked at her worried.  Lakshmana asked with little bit of anger "What do they want from you this time?"  Instead of looking at Lakshmana who asked the question, Zaara looked at Karn and Vrushali while saying "They wanted to speak with me.  I think they want to speak about the past which I had with them."

     Everyone in the room stilled hearing it.  Only Karn, Vrushali and Ashwatthama were calm.  Others were either anxious, worried or angry.  Aakash asked "Are you okay?"  Gauri commented "Their audacity is commendable."  Soon, everyone voiced starting lapsing over others.  Ashwatthama shouted "SILENCE".  Everyone become silent hearing the booming voice.   Radheya asked looking at Vasundhara "What did you say to them for that, Laila?"  Vasundhara said "I said that I will meet them at the west garden after some time.  I assured them that I will clear all their doubts and questions."  Vrushali smiled and said "I am happy with your decision, Gudiya.  I am proud of you for not running from your problems."  Ashwatthama also smiled agreeing with Vrushali.  Saagnika smiled at both of them.

     Others were still skeptical with it but they had faith on Saagnika.  After this talk, Everyone started having fun banters and chat.  Soon, after dinner, Vasundhara said "I will move to West Garden now"  Everyone nodded at her.  Karna said "Don't get stressed and anxious.  Don't think about other.  Just think about you.  Be selfish for this once, Laila.  Remember, no matter what you decision you will always be my daughter, this Vasusen's Vasundhara."  Others also voiced out "Suyodhan's Zaara" "Ashwatthama's Adwita" "Vrushali's Gudiya" "Bhanumathi's Dhara" "Gauri's Nainika" "Lakshman's Sakhi" "Lakshmana's Hrishika" "Akash's Aainah" "Vrishaketu's Didi".

     Saagnika laughed heartily hearing them.  Just when she was about to get up from the couch, a guard asked for permission to come in.  Duryodhan thought the Pandavas were being impatient and send the guard to call his Zaara said irritatedly "Can't they wait for some time."  Karna glared at him and permitted the guard inside.  The guard greeted them and informed "Mahamahim asked everyone to be present in the Sabha immediately now."  Everyone in the chamber got confused at what is the issue that has to be discussed at night.  Bhanumathi dismissed the guard.  Everyone started to move towards the Sabha.  

PLACE: HASTINAPUR SABHA

     When Vasundhara and her family entered, they saw Maharaja Dhritirashtir and Maharani Gandhari, Mahamahin and Vidur, Kunti, Pandavas and Draupadi and some ministers.  Then everyone noticed a man kneeling in the middle of the Sabha chained around him.  When everyone moved they noticed that man was an Asur.  Saagnika noticed a symbol in his arm and became vigilant and cautious.  Her whole demeanor changed into cold and ruthlessness.  Only the three musketeers noticed it.  They looked at each other and understand that their Vasundhara knows something about that Asur and it is definitely not a simply issue.

    Others present in the Sabha had one question in their mind except Mahamahim and Vidur "Who is this Asur? What is the Issue?"  When everyone stood in their respective place, Mahamahim announced "This Asur was seen spying around the palace and was searching for something or someone."  Everyone widen their eyes.  The Asur slowly raised his head and looked at everyone in the Sabha.  His eyes stopped at Vasundhara.  He felt a shiver down his spine seeing the cold and ruthless gaze of Karnaatmaja.  Ignoring the shiver, he smiled at her and said "You are like what our king said you would be, Karnaatmaja."
