Part 3: Maxx

Plain, emotionaly week, and unready. Yan ang first impression ko sa ka-business deal ko ngayon. I was actually expecting the CEO not his son pero I was informed late so I had no choice. Utos rin kasi ni Dad.

If this is just a normal situation ay pinirmahan ko na ang kontrata ng partnership sa pagitan ng mga kumpanya namin. As I said earlier sa kanya ay walang gusot at properly presented ang course of business between the two parties. Subalit gusto kong pahirapan ang kaharap ko ngayon because may nakarating sa'king balita that Grace and him are not just blockmates before. I haven't confirmed it yet actually but sabi nga nila, sa bibig nahuhuli ang isda.

I'm not sure as well kung bakit hindi inamin ni Grace kanina ang tunay na relasyon nila ng Rain Park na'to but I'll deal with her the next time.

"Hello Sir. Here's your order po." I was drawn from my reverie ng magsalita ang server na dala ang pagkaing inorder ko.

"Uhm..hello po sir, heto naman po yung sa inyo." Sabi naman ng waitres sa kanya as she gracefully places the food that he ordered.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero biglang nangunot ang noo ko dahil sa nakita. Obviously the girl is showing interest to the young park and suddenly I feel uncomfortable with it. Siguro ay naapakan lang ang pride ko.

Come on! Di hamak naman na mas gwapo ako kumpara dito sa kaharap ko. Actually he's not on the handsome part, mas okie pang sabihin na he's cute and gorgeous for a man.

"Do I have something on my face Mister Mortel? Napansin ko lang na kanina pa kayo nakatitig sa'kin." Anito na nagpabalik sa'kin sa tamang wisyo.

D*mn! I didn't notice na napatitig na pala ako ng matagal. Don't blame me! Nawiwili lang ako sa facial expressions nya. That's all.

To save myself from further embarassment ay tumikhim muna ako saglit.

"Nothing. Go dig in." Nasabi ko na lang.

We started eating our food in silence. Sinadya ko talagang wag umimik because I wanted him to open up the conversation about the business but he just keeps on digging in and takte ang dami niyang inorder. Subo rito, kain doon. Halos hindi na nito napapansin ang presensya ko dahil sa mga pinapapak niyang pagkain. Para siyang kuneho na ngumangatngat ng carrots dahil sa bilis ng pagkain niya.

Ni hindi ko na nagawang kainin yung sa'kin dahil nawili na mag-observe on how he devours eveything. Tsk..unbelievable.  Naiiling na lang akong napatingin sa pastang inorder ko then suddenly, my phone rings.

"Sorry. Got to take this call." Paalam ko rito na sinagot naman ako ng tango and thumbs up. Pano ba naman, punong-puno ang bibig.

I walk towards the corner of the room before I fish my phone out my pant's pocket. It's dad who's calling.

"Yes Dad?"

"How's everything son?"

"Good so far. The deal is actually quite remarkable."

"As expected from my eldest. Yun rin ang impression ko when I reviewed the documents. Its actually ready for approval  but the reason I had you handle it is because, I will assign you for the follow up of the progress."

"Tss..You always do this to us Dad. O siya I'll send you're secretary the copy of the signed contract."

"Haha alright then. Oh don't forget to buy sweets for your mom. Okay?...bye now."

"Alright Dad. Bye."

Hay Dad can be playful sometimes. Madalas niya talagang ginagawa to not just me but with my brothers too. Sending us to meet the client and review the deal to see if we are learning. Pretty normal.

Adter a minute or two, I'd decided to go back ngunit ganun na lang ang gulat ko nung wala ng natira na pagkain sa mesa bukod sa pastang inorder ko. Puro soiled dishes na lamang ang nasa bahagi niya ng mesa.

The hell! Where did he put all those food?

Nanlalaki ang mata ko siyang tiningnan but all he did is smile innocently as he complement how great the food was.

"Whatever. Give me the contracts and I'll sign it." Tangi kong nasabi na labis nitong ikinatuwa.

After the contract signing, mabilis akong umalis sa VIP lounge na yun without looking back. Everything is on the house na rin naman hence that resto is actually under the spervision of my brother Mentos.

Nang marating ko ang kinaroroonan ng aking kotse ay agad kong idinial ang phone number ni Grace but its out of coverage. Sa inis ay mabilis kong pinaharurot ang sasakyan pauwi ng bahay.
