beckycarolina 05.12.14...class of 2014 - 10 years ago, this was all just a dream that seemed too far out of reach, too far for me to reach out and grasp it, but fast forward a decade later, a decade of sleepless nights and stressful mornings trying to balance on the tightrope connecting life and dreams together..many days, i felt like i would fall off, but here i am, today, a doctor 👩⚕️👩🎓🎓
I want to give my heart out to my family, first. Mom, Dad, thank you for working so hard to get me to where i am today, if you two didn't support my career, and inspire me to be better every single day, i wouldn't be wearing this cap and gown..my brother, @petercaro_91, i feel so lucky to be your sister, and to share the same last name and blood with you, I love you pete 💪 you're what kept me going all those days when i felt like i wouldn't make it here..thank you for sticking by me..
My friends, @stellamonroe, @sabrinacarpenter, @oliviarodrigo, @gracieabrams, @harrystyles, @donnyblake and @scottfraser - thank you for always having my back..thank you for rescheduling parties and trips on days i had exams or had to study for them, just so that i could be included too..your sacrifices mean the universe to me, and i would never take them for granted..so thank you..
And last but not least, @killatrav..the light of my life, the part of me that i never knew i needed, the one who'd listen to my problems and listen to me blurting out all the information on my textbook..the one who'd make me breakfast lunch and dinner and brew my coffee and tea, occasionally running to the closest starbucks to get my pumpkin spiced latte, the one who drape blankets over my tired body when i passed out on my desk and would carry me to my bed...thank you, i love you travis, i dont know what i'd do without you 💝
if u told 10 year old becky that she's be a valedictorian and actually become a doctor, she'd laugh at you and flip you off..
But here we are...im finally Dr. Becky Allison Carolina..
