Author pov:
Hurling a packet of chips toward the man sprawled beside you on your small bed, sipping his banana milk, you shove his legs aside to make room for yourself.
“You’re such an idiot,” you mutter, your frustration bubbling beneath the surface.
Feigning innocence behind that charming smile of his, he tears open the chip packet, fully aware of the storm brewing in your eyes.
He knows what's coming next, sensing your growing irritation.
You’re unpredictable when angry, and he realizes that if anything is within your reach, it’s bound to end up flying at his infuriatingly perfect face—the same face that girls everywhere swoon over.
Unfortunately for him, his leather jacket lies somewhere discarded in the chaos of the room, and there’s not even a blanket to shield him from your wrath.
“I fucking hate you” you finally snap.
With that, you start flailing at him, an utterly futile effort considering your jelly-like stature compared to his solid, muscular frame.
His smirk only deepens as he hisses when you shout into his ear. “Aren’t you my best friend? If you don’t do it, who will?” He flashes you that infamous bunny-toothed grin.
You scoff, thoroughly unimpressed. “Oh, now I’m your best friend, huh? But at parties, you seem to forget that you even know a person named Y/N.”
You tilt your head, a disgusted look settling on your face.
Unbothered, he crawls closer, wrapping his arms around yours. “Why are you so mad, baby? There’s a party tonight, I’ll take you with me,” he offers in an attempt to soothe your temper.
Rolling your eyes, you push him away.
“No, I don't want to go to any party with you. Just do me two favors. First, stop calling me in the middle of the night to pick you up from random girls' places. And second,”—you jab your finger toward the door—“get out.”
Without waiting for his response, you march off to the bathroom to get ready for college.
---
Actually what happened was--Earlier, you had been peacefully sleeping in your small bed when your phone buzzed incessantly.
Groaning, you picked up, only to hear your handsome best friend demanding a ride from some random girl’s house.
After a good minute of yelling, you reluctantly agreed to get him, heading out to the address he sent.
But as soon as you got him into the car, the girl called, telling him he’d left behind his jacket and mobile
So, being the ever-dutiful friend, you turned around and retrieved his things.
Now, it’s morning, and you’ve barely gotten any sleep—thanks to none other than Jeon Jungkook.
---
Presently, you’re ready for college, and for a brief, blissful moment, you think he’s finally left.
That relief is short-lived when you spot him rummaging through your fridge.
Exasperated, you drag him out of the kitchen. “Aren’t you going to college?” you ask, already knowing the answer.
“I don’t have any clothes here,” he says with a straight face.
“I suggest you drive me home, wait for me, and then we can go together.”
His absurd proposal only fuels your irritation.
“Thanks, Mr. Jeon, but no. Wear the clothes you’ve left here,” you reply, gesturing to the half of his wardrobe that now resides in your apartment.
After all, despite owning a spacious villa house, he’s decided to spend half his life lounging around your modest 3BHK.
Jungkook heads to your bathroom, emerging a few minutes later, looking annoyingly handsome as usual.
He walks back to the kitchen, grabs a cola, pops the lid, and drinks as if you aren’t standing there fuming.
You yank the bottle from his hand and take a swig. “Let’s go,”you say, tossing him the bottle before grabbing your car keys and pushing him out the door.
On the way to college, he casually asks for ice cream, and despite yourself, you stop to buy two. “Love you,”he says, pressing a quick kiss to your cheek.
As always, his small gestures make your heart race, and despite how many times it’s happened before, a warm blush creeps across your face.
It’s maddening how easily he flusters you.
