--Author's Perspective--
You sat in your apartment, the soft hum of your computer filling the quiet space as you wrapped up your final assignments.
Jungkook’s work had been completed first, and now you were finishing your own.
The satisfaction of typing the last sentence prompted you to sink back into the comfort of your leather chair, a sigh of relief escaping your lips.
The sudden thirst for water nudged you toward the kitchen, but your plans were interrupted by the sharp ring of the doorbell.
Without much thought, you strode to the door, already assuming it was Jungkook.
“What brings you here at this hour?” you asked, your eyes locking onto his with a subtle air of curiosity, wondering what had prompted his unexpected visit.
“I was bored, so~” he began, his voice trailing off nonchalantly.
“So~?” you echoed, one eyebrow lifting in amusement.
“Let’s go for a drive,” he suggested, as if it were the most natural idea in the world.
“At this hour?” you questioned, incredulity evident in your tone, only to be met with a mildly exasperated look from Jungkook.
“Are you Akinator? Why all the questions?” he shot back, his expression half-amused, half-annoyed.
“Bu—” Before you could even finish your sentence, he seized your wrist and pulled you outside with surprising ease, locking the door behind the two of you.
“Jungkook, how am I supposed to get up tomorrow morning?” you groaned, your concern laced with frustration.
“Tomorrow’s Saturday,” he reminded you with a smirk, clearly entertained by your momentary panic.
“Oh, right,” you giggled, the weight of your worry dissipating as quickly as it had appeared. Jungkook chuckled softly at your reaction, his amusement evident.
Once settled in the car, Jungkook began regaling you with stories from his childhood, his voice filling the warm, confined space.
In turn, you shared bits of your own memories, the conversation flowing easily between the two of you.
A fleeting thought crossed your mind amidst the shared laughter—I’m glad I met him.
“Kook, what would you do if a ghost suddenly appeared in front of us?” you asked suddenly, your voice tinged with nervousness as your eyes flickered toward the dark, empty road outside the window.
“Are you scared?” he teased, a grin playing at the corners of his mouth, though you seemed oblivious to his amusement.
“Just a little,” you confessed, still peering warily into the night.
Your phone buzzed abruptly, breaking the momentary silence. You glanced at the screen, and a bright smile lit up your face. It was Taehyung.
Yes, at 3:24 AM.

/Offline/“Hm, bye... /Offline/”
You were too absorbed in your conversation with Taehyung to notice Jungkook leaning over, reading every word.
A mischievous smirk crept across his face as he formulated a plan to tag along and derail your outing.
“I’m not taking you,” you stated firmly, noticing his intent expression.
“Why not?” he pouted, his voice dropping into a childlike tone that tugged at your heartstrings despite your attempt to remain resolute.
“Because it’s a date, obviously,” you said, attempting to explain, though your reasoning seemed to fall on deaf ears.
“I’m coming too,” he announced, as if it were already decided.
“Fine!” you huffed in mock exasperation, stomping your foot. But beneath your frustration, panic started to rise—what would you even wear?
“Jungkook, I don’t have anything to wear! Maybe I should borrow your clothes—wait, that’s ridiculous. You’re a guy. Let’s just go shopping–”
Before your thoughts could spiral further, Jungkook gently pressed his index finger to your lips, silencing you.
His deep brown eyes locked onto yours with an intensity that sent your heart into a frenzy.
“Stop,” he murmured softly, though his tone left no room for argument.
“You talk way too much. Wear whatever you want—you’ll look amazing regardless. You could captivate any man with how stunning you are.”
Your breath hitched at his words, and for a moment, time seemed to hang between you.
The weight of something unspoken lingered in the charged air, his gaze holding yours with an intensity that made your heart stutter.
