--Y/n's perspective --

The atmosphere of the college party was electric, the kind of energy that made you feel alive.

Laughter and music filled the air, and I was swept up in the excitement, eager to let loose and enjoy the night.

But beneath that thrill lay an undercurrent of anxiety.

It had been a week since Jungkook, Taehyung, and Pearl tried to intervene in my relationship with Leo, and their efforts had failed spectacularly.

No matter how hard they tried, I remained blissfully unaware of any deeper issues.

As I walked through the crowd, I felt Leo's arm wrap around my shoulders, pulling me closer.

He leaned down, whispering something funny in my ear, and I couldn’t help but giggle.

His laughter was infectious, and for a moment, everything felt perfect

But I noticed the way Jungkook lingered at the edges of the room, his expression guarded. I hadn’t spoken to him much since our last encounter at the mall, and it bothered me that he seemed so distant.

“Let’s go grab drinks,” Leo suggested, his voice smooth and charming as always.

I nodded eagerly, allowing him to guide me through the throngs of partygoers.

We reached the bar, where a colorful array of cocktails was displayed, and I felt a surge of excitement wash over me.

“Y/n!” I heard a familiar voice call. I turned to see Taehyung and Pearl approaching, their faces lit with enthusiasm. “You guys made it!” Taehyung beamed, glancing between Leo and me.

“Of course! We wouldn’t miss it!” I replied, smiling back. I was grateful for their presence; they always knew how to lighten the mood.

“Let’s play a game later!” Pearl suggested, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “We could do something fun, like a drinking game. Teams or something!”

“Sounds great!” Leo replied, squeezing my shoulder in agreement. I could sense the way his confidence radiated through the group, and I felt a thrill at the thought of spending the night with my friends.

As we moved to a quieter corner of the bar to decide on teams, I could feel Jungkook’s gaze lingering on me.

He stood a few feet away, his arms crossed over his chest, a storm of emotions swirling in his eyes.

It was strange; I couldn’t pinpoint why his expression made me feel uneasy.

I caught Leo leaning in closer to me, whispering playful banter that made me laugh again, but my heart seemed to tug toward Jungkook, as if there was something unspoken between us. I shook my head, trying to dispel the feeling.

I was here with Leo, and I should be focusing on him.

As we divided into teams, I noticed that Jungkook kept his distance, engaging only when necessary.

I missed the way he used to be—lighthearted and full of laughter. Something felt off, and I wished he would let me in on whatever was bothering him.

“Okay, let’s do charades!” Taehyung announced, his voice cutting through my thoughts.

The energy shifted as everyone gathered in a circle, ready to play.

I felt the buzz of anticipation in the air, and I tried to shake off my unease.

Leo was in my team, and as the game began, I felt buoyed by his energy.

He was animated, his gestures grand as he tried to convey his chosen phrase.
