--Author's Perspective--

As the group finally dispersed, Y/n and Jungkook were left alone beneath the towering oak tree.

The laughter and playful teasing from their friends had faded into the background, leaving only a quiet, charged atmosphere between them.

The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground, but all Y/n could focus on was Jungkook, who was watching her with that familiar, playful glint in his eyes.

Jungkook stepped closer, his hands casually slipping into his pockets, but his gaze never left hers.

"So," he began, his voice smooth and teasing, "I guess the secret's out now, huh?"

Y/n smirked, folding her arms across her chest. "Yeah, thanks to you and your terrible poker face."

Jungkook let out a soft laugh, taking another step forward until there was barely any space left between them.

"Oh, come on. You can't blame me for wanting to show off a little. After all, I've got the best girl in the world by my side."

Y/n rolled her eyes, but she couldn't stop the smile tugging at her lips. "You're so full of it, you know that?"

"Maybe," Jungkook shrugged, his grin widening as he leaned in slightly, his voice lowering to a soft murmur.

"But I'm also right. And you know it."

Y/n's breath caught as his words hung in the air between them, and she couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat.

The way he was looking at her-like she was the only thing that mattered-was enough to make her knees feel a little weak.

But she wasn't going to let him win that easily.

"Oh, is that so?" she asked, her tone light and teasing as she met his gaze.

"And what makes you so sure I'm the best?"

Jungkook's smile turned into a smirk, and he stepped even closer, his hand coming up to gently brush a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Because," he whispered, his breath warm against her skin, "I've never wanted anyone the way I want you."

Y/n's cheeks flushed at his words, and for a moment, she was sure her heart was about to burst out of her chest.

But she wasn't about to let him see just how much he affected her-not yet, anyway.

She raised an eyebrow, her lips curving into a playful smile. "Sounds like you've got it pretty bad, Jungkook."

Jungkook chuckled softly, his hand trailing down to gently cup her jaw, his thumb brushing over her cheek.

"Oh, I do. You have no idea."

Y/n felt a shiver run down her spine at the intensity in his eyes, the way he was looking at her like he was memorizing every detail.

Her heart was racing, but she managed to keep her composure, leaning in just slightly, her lips dangerously close to his.

"Well," she whispered, her voice barely audible, "maybe I do."

For a moment, they hovered there, the tension between them thick and electric.

Y/n could feel the heat radiating from Jungkook, could hear the soft hitch in his breath as they stood on the edge of something more.

But instead of closing the gap, she decided to push him just a little further.

"You're really laying it on thick today," she teased, her lips brushing against his ear as she spoke, her voice dropping to a sultry murmur.

"What's gotten into you?"
