The party pulsed around them, but Y/n's anger boiled over, blocking out the music, the crowd, and everything else.

She had tried to focus on enjoying her time with Leo, to forget Jungkook's constant interference.

But as soon as she saw him making his way through the crowd toward her, she felt her blood begin to simmer.

He was relentless, and she was tired of it.

"Y/n, we need to talk," Jungkook said, his voice low but firm as he approached.

Y/n turned sharply, not hiding her irritation. "No, Jungkook. I'm done talking to you.

Can't you just leave me alone for one night?"

But Jungkook wasn't about to let it go.

He grabbed her wrist, his touch gentle but insistent, forcing her to stop in her tracks.

"I can't leave you alone. Not when it comes to this."

Leo stepped forward, ready to intervene, but Y/n waved him off, glaring at Jungkook. "What is it now?" she snapped. "What do you want from me?"

Jungkook didn't flinch at her harsh tone.

Instead, he leaned in, his voice low and filled with frustration. "You don't know who you're dealing with, Y/n. Leo isn't who you think he is."

Y/n rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. "Oh, here we go again. What, are you going to tell me he's a criminal or something now?"

Jungkook's jaw tightened.

He looked her straight in the eyes, his voice sharp, cutting through the air like a blade. "He doesn't care about you, Y/n. He just wants your body. He's using you."

The words hung in the air, heavy and bitter.

For a moment, Y/n just stared at him, her mind struggling to process what he had said.

Then, anger surged through her veins, hot and blinding.

Without thinking, she raised her hand and slapped him across the face, the sound of the impact sharp and loud, cutting through the noise of the party.

Jungkook's head snapped to the side, his cheek reddening from the slap, but he didn't move.

He didn't even flinch. His expression was a mix of hurt and anger, but more than anything, it was determined.

"How dare you?" Y/n seethed, her voice shaking with fury. "How dare you say something like that?"

Jungkook slowly turned back to face her, his eyes burning with intensity. "Because it's the truth," he said, his voice low and raw. "I've seen the way he looks at you. He doesn't care about you, Y/n. He just wants what he can get from you, and once he's done, he's going to leave you. I couldn't just sit back and let that happen."

Y/n shook her head, her emotions a whirlwind of anger, disbelief, and betrayal. "You think you know everything, don't you? You think you can just come in here and decide who's right for me, like you own me."

"I'm not trying to own you!" Jungkook's voice cracked with frustration. "I'm trying to protect you. I know I'm not perfect, and maybe I've overstepped before, but I can't stand by and watch you get hurt by someone like him."

Y/n took a step back, her chest heaving with the effort to control her breathing.

She glanced at Leo, who stood a few feet away, his expression hard, watching the confrontation unfold. Her mind raced, her heart pounding.

She didn't want to believe Jungkook, but there was something in his eyes, something that made her feel like a thread had been pulled loose, unraveling everything she thought she knew.

But instead of giving in, she hardened her resolve. "I'm done, Jungkook. You don't get to make decisions for me. If I make a mistake, that's on me. Not you."

Jungkook's face twisted in pain, but he didn't back down. "Y/n, please-"

"Enough," she cut him off, her voice cold and final. "We're done."

With that, she turned away from him, her heart heavy with anger and confusion, and walked back toward Leo, forcing herself to push the doubt down, to ignore the gnawing feeling in the pit of her stomach.

But as she walked away, the sting of her slap still lingering in the air, she couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted between them-something that couldn't be undone.
