Chapter 3

(𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘃)

As school ended, me and Kaya headed to the parking lot to find my brother and his friends.

"Can you drop me and Kaya off the cafe? We have work to do" I asked.

"Cafe? You, working?" Dylan asked with a confused look.

"Yes, it's our part-time job" I said

"Wow my twin sister is finally working" Dylan said

"I know right?" I replied sarcastically.

"Anyways, you should meet my friends" Dylan said, introducing his friends.

"Hi, I'm Will" Will said, shaking my hand.

"I'm Ki Hong" Ki Hong greeted me with a smile.

"You probably know me," a guy said, smirking

"No, I don't" I said, making the boys laugh.

"Anyways, my name's Thomas." he said, shaking my hand.

"Ohh, Thomas from band class." I said, nodding. "Uhm. nice to meet you all. And this is my friend Kaya," I said, introducing her.

"Hi Kaya said, shaking their hands. Dylan pulled me aside.

"You never told me you have a pretty friend," Dylan said.

"Yeah, because you'll probably hurt her feelings, your pretty much a jerk" I said while rolling my eyes.

"I promise you, I won't" Dylan said. Me and Dylan went back to our friends.

"Hi, I'm Dylan, Evelyn's twin brother." Dylan said, hugging Kaya.

"Yeah, I know," Kaya said, smiling.

"Oh my god, your brother hugged me" Kaya whispered into my ears.

"Yeah congratulations," I replied sarcastically. As Dylan dropped me and Kaya at the cafe, I told my brother to pick me up at 5 PM. I grabbed my apron and started working. After my shift, Kaya said, "Hey Evelyn, I'll take the bus tonight."

"Why?" I asked, she never takes the bus.

"Well, I'm going to meet up with my cousin at the mall tonight," Kaya said, waving goodbye.

I went outside, texting my brother to ask where he was. Suddenly, I bumped into someone, I looked up to see Thomas.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I said.

"Don't be," Thomas said.

"Do you know where my brother is? He's supposed to pick me up today" I said, looking around.

"Your brother told me to pick you up because he has something to do," Thomas said, opening the door for me.

"Thank you, what a gentleman" I said with a smile on my face.

"No problem," Thomas replied, blushing. The whole ride was awkward; neither of us spoke much.

"So, how old are you?" Thomas asked.

"I'm 17, same as Dylan," I answered his question.

"Oh right, I forgot he's your twin brother" Thomas said.

"But Dylan is one minute older than me" I said, looking out the window.

"So, your the youngest?" Thomas said, smiling, I nodded. I looked at Thomas, he was driving with one hand, gosh that was hot, wait did I just called him hot. No, don't think of that Evelyn! Focus! He probably has a girlfriend. When we got home, Thomas opened the door for me, again. I thanked him, and he said goodnight. I thought to my self that he probably likes me because of his actions, but probably because he was just being nice, gosh I'm so delulu. I went to my room, changed into my pjs, and then went outside to eat dinner with my family.

"So, how was your day Evelyn?" my mom asked.

"It was good. I got to meet Dylan's friends," I replied while eating.

"How was Thomas, Evelyn? Did he asked you out or something?" Dylan asked with a smirk on his face.

"Who's Thomas?" my dad asked.

"Thomas Brodie Sangster dad, one of your colleague's son" Dylan replied.

"Oh, I see. So, is he asking you out Evelyn?" my dad chuckled.

"No dad, he was just being nice. And he probably has a girlfriend" I said looking on my plate.

"Girlfriend? Thomas doesn't have a girlfriend" Dylan said. I finished my dinner and went back to my room to sleep. I couldn't stop thinking about Thomas and how nice he had been. Eventually, I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
