Chapter 19

( Evelyn's Pov )

I opened my eyes to see myself cuddling Thomas. My eyes widened as he woke up. I immediately got up, feeling incredibly embarrassed. He got up too.

"Good morning, Evelyn," Thomas said.

"Uh, yeah, morning," I shyly replied. It was so awkward since we had cuddled the whole night. I mean, I didn't mind, but still, we were just friends, not even that close.

"Uhm, I'm gonna go outside to get breakfast. Do you wanna come?" Thomas snapped me back to reality.

"Uh, yeah, you can go ahead. I'm fine. I'm just gonna do something real quick," I replied, and he went outside. After he left, I immediately texted my friends.

Kej friend group:
Me: GUYS WHAT U DOIN?? WHERE U AT??
Kaya: Girl, calm down. I'm inside my cabin.
James: I'm in the cafeteria eating right now.
Me: OMG OMG OMG GUESS WHAT!!!
Kaya: What?
James: ?
Me: ME AND THOMAS FREAKING CUDDLED THE WHOLE FREAKING NIGHT!!!!
James: WHAT!? NOW I'M WIDE AWAKE.
Kaya: Spill us the whole thing!
James: Yeah, what she said.
Me: So basically, it was really cold last night, and I decided to sleep on the couch and let Thomas sleep in the bed since he slept on the couch. But then Thomas offered me to sleep with him—I mean, sleep beside him—so I said yeah. He slept on the other side facing the wall, and I did the same. I WOKE UP AND SAW MYSELF CUDDLING THOMAS. WHAT THE FREAKKK.
James: What the freak reminds me so much of what the sigma lol.
Me: James, stop with your brainrott words haha.
Kaya: ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?
Me: Unfortunately, yes.
James: OMGGG I JUST IMAGINED THEM CUDDLING AHHH.
Kaya: Omggg sameeee.
Me: Alright, bye, see you later.

I closed my phone and headed out for breakfast. I was walking to the cafeteria when someone whispered my name. I looked back to see Ki Hong and Will.

"Hey guys, why are you here?" I asked, then they pulled me to them.

"Shh, be quiet, dumbass," Will replied.

"Why?" I asked in a quiet voice.

"So basically, we're doing a surprise party for Thomas since it's his birthday," Ki Hong said.

"Oh, today is his birthday?" I asked.

"Yeah," Will replied.

"Okay, so what's the plan?" I asked the both of them.

"We don't actually have a plan, so we're gonna tell Dylan and Kaya so you can distract him," Will said.

"Alright, so we're gonna text you when we're done. Meet us in our room," Ki Hong said, and they left. I headed back to the cafeteria to eat. I grabbed pancakes and tried to find a table when I saw Thomas. This would be the perfect time to distract him.

"Hi," I said, sitting down facing Thomas.

"Hey," Thomas replied.

"So, uh, what do you want to do after eating breakfast?" I asked.

"Probably talk with friends," Thomas said.

"Oh yeah," I replied and took a bite of the pancake. After eating breakfast and chatting with Thomas, he asked, "So where do you want to go?"

"Wait, let me think," I replied, making him chuckle. I checked my phone and saw a flower field near our camp.

"How about here!" I showed him the picture.

"Yeah, it's nice. What time?" he asked.

"Wait a minute," I said and started texting Ki Hong.

Ki Hong:
Me: Ki, what time is the surprise starting?
Ki Hong: Probably 6pm?
Me: Alright, by the way, I'm taking Thomas to the flower field near our camp, so text me or call me when you're done.
