The next morning, I woke up in bed and noticed Thomas was still sleeping. I admired how adorable he looked while he slept—oh, I sound like a psycho stalker. Anyway, I got up, brushed my hair and teeth, and changed into sweatpants and a black hoodie since it was really cold today. When I came out of the washroom, I saw Thomas cleaning up the bed.

"Good morning, love," Thomas said.

"Good morning," I replied.

"Do you want to eat breakfast?" he asked.

"Yeah, sure. Why not?" I said, and we went outside. As we walked towards the cafeteria, Dylan was there.

"Hey, Dyl!" I said.

"Hey, Evelyn. Hey, Thomas," Dylan replied.

"So, Thomas, can I ask you something... privately?" Dylan added.

"Yeah, sure," Thomas said, and they walked outside the cafeteria. That was suspicious. I moved my thoughts away, figuring they were probably talking about some boy stuff that I didn't know about. As I found a seat, I saw James and Kaya, so I sat beside them.

"Hey, guys, how are you?" I asked, and both of them raised their eyebrows. "What?" I asked.

"So, you're telling me yesterday was Thomas's birthday, and you guys are dating?" James asked.

"Yeah," I smiled.

"Why didn't you come yesterday?" I asked James.

"Oh, I was busy doing stuff," he replied.

"Anyway, so, uh, this is our last day of camp. What do you want to do?" Kaya asked as she took a bite of her sandwich.

"Uh, we can play some water games later," I suggested.

"Yeah, it's gonna be hot later, but it's so cold now," James said.

"I know, right," I said and saw Dylan and Thomas come inside the cafeteria.

"What do you think they talked about?" I asked.

"Probably you," James said.

"What? Why?" I asked, puzzled, and James shook his head as they sat beside us.

"So, Thomas, can I ask you something... privately?" Dylan said.

"Yeah, sure," I said, and we walked outside the cafeteria.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked Dylan.

"When did you two start dating?" I wasn't surprised; Dylan may sometimes annoy Evelyn, but other times he was protective.

"Yesterday," I replied.

"So, I'm kinda concerned about Evelyn. When she was 16, she met this guy, and they dated for eight months, but then they broke up because he cheated on her. Three days after their breakup, we couldn't find Evelyn anywhere. So, we decided to look for her everywhere. Then I saw her on the bridge; I immediately ran up to her and caught her. She was crying a lot, saying she trusted him and couldn't take it anymore, so she decided to, you know, kill herself. Months later, she moved on and said that she wasn't into dating because of what happened to her. I was kinda surprised when you guys started dating. I feel like I can trust you, Thomas. Just don't do that to Evelyn," Dylan explained. Whoa, I didn't know that about Evelyn.

"Thank you for trusting me, Dylan, but I promise you I would never do such a thing," I replied, and he smiled back at me. We started heading inside the cafeteria, where we saw Evelyn, James, and Kaya talking, so we decided to join them.
