Chapter 24

( Evelyn's Pov )

It was Sunday. I woke early since Dylan wanted me to join him for a movie audition. I wore a black shirt and some cargo pants and grabbed my purse. I headed outside to see Dylan wearing a grey long-sleeve shirt and black pants.

"Hey Dylan, you ready?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he replied.

"Alright, let's go," I said. We got into Dylan's car and he started driving. Minutes later, we arrived at the building, and I just found out we were auditioning for 'The Maze Runner' movie. I was so happy since I am a big fan of the series. Dylan auditioned for Thomas. While we were waiting, I saw our friends, Will, Ki, Kaya, and Thomas.

"Oh hey, guys! What are you doing here?" I asked.

"We're auditioning for a movie," Kaya replied.

"How about you?" Will asked me. "Are you auditioning too?"

"Oh, no, no, I'm here for Dylan," I said.

"Okay," Ki Hong said.

"Anyways, I auditioned for Teresa," Kaya said.

"I did Minho," Ki Hong said.

"I auditioned for Gally," Will said.

"I auditioned for Gally and Newt," Thomas said.

"Why did you audition for Gally?" I asked Thomas.

"Why not? Besides, I wanted to be the bad guy," Thomas chuckled.

"Well, good luck!" I said to all of them. As we chatted, Dylan came over.

"Hey, Dylan," Kaya said.

"Hey, guys. Why are you here?" Dylan asked.

"We auditioned too," Kaya replied.

"Really?" Dylan said, shocked.

"Yeah, buddy," Ki Hong said.

"Alright, since we're all here, why don't we have lunch together?" Will suggested, and we all agreed. We hopped into Ki Hong's car, and Kaya went with Dylan.

"Why didn't you tell me you were auditioning?" I asked Thomas.

"Sorry, it was last minute. Will and Ki called me," Thomas said.

"It's alright," I said. As we played music, we got to the restaurant, which was full of people.

"Woah, I guess we should eat our lunch at a fast-food place. How about that?" Will suggested.

"Yeah, I'm so hungry," Ki Hong said.

"Alright, which one?" I asked.

"How about Burger King?" Will said.

"Alright," all of us agreed, and everyone hopped into Ki Hong's car except for Kaya and Dylan.

when we were eating our lunch, and Kaya got a call.

"OMG!" Kaya exclaimed.

"What?" I asked.

"We got the roles!" Kaya jumped, full of happiness.

"Are you for real?" Will asked, and Kaya nodded.

"Omg, guys, congrats," I said.

"They said we will start filming next week," Kaya said.

"That's great, right after our graduation," I exclaimed.

"Oh yeah," Dylan said.

Will and Ki Hong went home while Kaya and Dylan decided to go somewhere, and Thomas and I decided to go to his house. We got to Thomas's house; nobody was home, so we went to the backyard.

"So, are you ready for tomorrow?" Thomas asked.

"Oh shoot, I forgot our graduation is tomorrow," I said.

"Yeah," Thomas sighed.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Well, I'm not gonna see you for months," Thomas said.

"Oh yeah."

"It's alright, we can FaceTime, right?" I said to lighten up his mood.

"Yeah, but I'm gonna miss you," Thomas said. I smiled.

"You know what, how about we go shopping for our graduation outfits?" I said.

"Sure," he smiled.

We got to the mall.

"How about we pick each other's outfits, okay?" I said.

"Yeah, why not," Thomas replied.

"Okay, see you in 30 minutes!" I said, running towards the men's section. I decided to go all black since it's his favorite color. I grabbed black pants, a black polo shirt, a black suit jacket, and a black tie. Thirty minutes later, I was looking for Thomas when I saw him holding a black dress. We were matching.

"Hey, we're matching!" I said.

"It took me a lot of time to find this dress," Thomas chuckled.

"Well, it took me probably 15 minutes to look for your clothes," I chuckled.
