At 7am the next morning I was woken up by banging at my door. I open it up and see Jon, Spencer, and Ryan standing there, Jon is beaming. "Thanks for looking after me last night, I had a great time," Jon walks into my room before I say anything. "Woah, nice room." He sits down on my bed. Both he and Spencer had really lenient views on people's personal space.
"What are you guys doing here? I've gotta get ready for class." I questioned, they were all already dressed.
"Jon was insistent we see you." Ryan looked tired, he had bags under his eyes.
"Floor not comfortable Ryan?" I ask, slightly teasing. He covers his face in embarrassment and walks off down the hall and back to his room.
"Hey don't be mean to poor Ryro." Jon gave a sickly puppy dog face in jest. Spencer comes in and closes the door behind him.
"Okay, now what is it you want?" I asked now that the door had been closed.
Jon pointed to the empty spot on my wall where my picture had been. "I know where this is." He said ominously.
"Where's that? And how did you know I was missing a picture?" I needed them to get to the point or we'd all be late.
Jon gestures me closer and whispers loudly, "In the middle of the night, I started to wake from my sleep and I noticed Ryan was still up, he was writing something in a book and was using a picture as a bookmark. When he got up this morning to go shower, I checked the drawer where the book was."
"So?"
"So, it was a picture of you Y/N. I wanted to see your room to check if he'd taken it and bingo." Jon points again to the empty spot on the wall.
"Well, what does he want with it?" I had already suspected he'd taken it, but the one thing that I couldn't yet wrap my head around was why. Blackmail? No, the picture was harmless, so then, what?
Spencer and Jon exchange knowing glances at each other and giggle. "You'll find out." Jon adds before getting up from my bed and leaving my room, I try to pull on his arm to ask him what that means but he evades my grip and escapes, the door closing behind them both. At least now I knew where to look to get my picture back.

I figured out pretty quickly that Grace had also been told about the photo, as when I arrived at the campus gates, the three of them were whispering and laughing while Ryan and I approached. "What's up with them?" Ryan asks me, noticing the hushed whispering between them. I shrug and go to greet Grace. Jon and Spencer head off to their respective classes.
Band practice after classes went way better after I had found some time to practice, and we were starting to sound decently good together. After rehearsing for a while we all sat down on the music room floor in a circle to chat about last night. "Jon you were so out of it, do you even remember anything?" Spencer jokes.
"I remember the important stuff." Jon smiles, winking at me. Ryan shoots him a jealous look but looks away when he sees that I've noticed. "You two sound really nice together, we should get you both to cover a duet for the band."
Both of us start blushing and interrupt, flustered, "No, no, that would be a terrible idea."
"Awful idea." We both stumble over our words slightly as we race to give our disapproval, Jon lifts up his arms in surrender,
"Okay, okay, didn't know you two were so passionate." Jon was still trying to toy with us, Spencer laughed. Ryan let out an exasperated huff and fixed his hair with his hand, nervously.
