"Did Mark tell you to post about us?"
I rolled over in the bed as I asked Max the question. Dinner and dessert had lasted a couple of hours, but then we all decided to go out on the beach for the rest of the night, meaning that it was nearing midnight by the time we all returned and got into bed.
He shrugged, leaning his head on one of the pillows he had tucked between us, "Yeah, he told me it seemed weird that you always posted about us and I never did. Apparently, rumors were swirling in the press about it."
"Of course, because people can't help but criticize every relationship that they see." I laughed, leaning on the pillows as well, leaving our faces only a couple of inches apart.
We sat there silently, eyes staring into the other's. It was comfortable, almost like this was something normal for us.
I could see the gears in his brain turning, he was thinking hard about something. His eyebrows scrunched the harder he thought, a telltale sign that something was on his mind. It was a sign I had picked up on a little while back.
