Ella and I somehow managed to corner both Lando and Max after FP2 on Friday, finding them after they completed their media duties. Both stared at us with wide eyes because we'd definitely not done this before.

Especially not with somewhat scheming smiles on our faces.

"What did you two do?" Lando questioned, being the first of the duo to speak, his accent as prominent as ever.

Ella laughed, waving a hand at her boyfriend. "We didn't do anything." She gestured between me and her. "You can blame our parents."

Both of their eyes somehow got even wider than they were before.

I stepped in to explain, Ella taking too long for my liking. "Our parents have requested a group dinner." I watched as Max opened his mouth, knowing he was going to try and come up with some sort of excuse. "No sir, we both checked with your teams, you're both done til tomorrow."

I joined Ella in laughing when both of their jaws dropped in defeat and surprise. They definitely weren't expecting us to have checked their schedules.

"Gotta man up, Babe." Ella was attempting to stop laughing as she walked over to her boyfriend, patting his cheek. "Dinner is in an hour and a half, the 'rents are meeting us at the restaurant."

"I think I might actually throw up." Max groaned as he fixed the buttons of his shirt.

I chuckled, having already been dressed for twenty minutes, I found it funny that Max was taking longer than me this time around.

He suddenly spun to face me, "What about Lili?"

"If you haven't noticed, she isn't even here, Max." I waved my arms around the hotel room. "She's having a movie night with Uncle Charlie – who gleefully volunteered to babysit, by the way."

Max huffed in defeat, knowing there was no way he was getting out of this. He had come to terms with my parents being at the race this weekend, but apparently not with the possibility of actually spending a decent amount of time with him. I get it, parents can be intimidating.

"I guess we should go down to the lobby since we told Lando and Ella 8:10." I glanced at the clock on the bedside table which read 8:07.

I stood up from my spot, going up on my toes to kiss his cheek. "Let's go then. I can't wait to see how nervous Lando is."

This time, Max laughed along.

The drive to the restaurant was... interesting to say the least.

I don't think Lando's leg stopped bouncing the entire time. I felt for him, though, I don't think he's had the chance to meet Ella's parents yet and so this dinner is the initial meeting for him. Max wasn't all that nervous when he first met my parents, but that's because our relationship wasn't even real back then. For Lando, this is all new, regardless of the fact that he and Ella have been dating for months now.

"Are you sure we have to do this?" Lando asked as the four of us piled out of Max's SUV Red Bull had provided him with for our time in Austin.

Ella chuckled, threading her fingers through Lando's, "Those four are some of the least intimidating people, Lan, trust me." She brought their joined hands up to her mouth, pressing a kiss to the back of Lando's hand.

Max leaned forward to pull open the door to the restaurant, thankfully, we weren't too crowded heading in seeing as nearly no fans had clocked where we'd be tonight. Austin was already crowded enough as it was.

I nodded in agreement with Ella's claim. "Trust me! Cameron and Emmy are far less intimidating than Ronnie and Dana."

"Gee, thanks." Max scoffed before heading toward the hostess stand.
